The can of beans ingredients were: beans, salt and jalapeno juice. Everything is real, no chemicals, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. And the noodles were just plain, uncooked, unflavored pasta.

99% of foods not on the outer perimeter of the grocery store i can't eat, but some canned vegetables, plain pasta (ie. A box of plain spaghetti noodles, then i make my own homemade spaghetti sauce) and fresh bread from my local bakery i count as acceptable.

To put it simply, if there's an ingredient that wouldn't be found in a garden, farm or basic spice shelf, i will not eat it.

I can agree with the fresh bread somewhat, but have you read the ingredients on your pasta box? Unless it's fresh spaghetti, its loaded with nitrates and other preservatives, not to mention flour which is highly processed.

I commend your diet change, just wanted to make sure you were aware... not ruin the party!

If you're wanting to eat healthy and still consume pasta, at least get something like Barilla Plus. Higher in fiber and protein....it's only ingredients are "Semolina, Grain and Legume Flour Blend (Lentils, Chickpeas, Egg Whites, Spelt, Barley, Flaxseed, Oat Fiber, Oats), Durum Flour, Niacin, Iron (Ferrous Sulfate), Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid."

It's still pasta, but it's far better than most of the stuff out there.

My Ride: has free candy.
Homemade penne and vodka sauce for lunch before class/gym. Protein shake and mesculim salad with chopped gorgonzola, walnuts, green apple, and oil/balsamic/honey dressing for lunch.

I checked the ingredients on the pasta this morning, you guys ate definitely right. pasta is the only thing i didn't check. To be honest, i think i didn't read the ingredients because i knew what i would find, and pasta is like crack to me. Plus it's nice to get some diversity in this difficult diet.

Pasta: removed.

As always thanks for the information and encouragement guys!

Since the pasta in the leftover chili i have here at work is cheating, I'm thinking about giving it to someone here and cheating at mac dons. Either way this meal is going to be a cheat meal, so why not satisfy a guilty pleasure? Plus if you buy one big Mac, you get another for the price of yesterdays high temperature (0 degrees, so buy one, get one free)

^^^How was that shake?

This morning I had an Ezekiel english muffin with PB and a shake consisting of the following:

1 cup of spinach
1 banana
some plain greek yogurt
a bunch of PB
1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
lil bit of skim milk
ice water

That made more than enough for the wife and I and it was pretty tasty.
