3 eggs, a few slices of toast, a banana, a protein shake and an orange so far. Went to get the maiden voyage lift in the new home gym just now, was able to get about 40 minutes into my routine but hauling that 1300 pounds, 3 times, all by myself yesterday has left my shoulders and back pretty drained.

Haha welcome to the real world! Eventually you'll settle for the 80/20 rule, or even 90/10.

Have you at least been feeling better? Your body loves you lol

I made a big giant pot of chicken curry last night, so I'll be eating that for a while, lol.

2.15lbs chicken breast
2 bell peppers
1 medium yellow onion
1 cup of carrots
1 large sweet potato
1 large yukon gold potato
spices (garlic, madras curry, fresh thyme, ginger, S&P, etc., etc.)

Had it over sprouted brown rice.

Today so far I've had a bowl of wheaties and a smoothie made from spinach, a green apple, raspberries, vanilla whey, PB, plain greek yogurt, skim milk and ice water.

It was kind of a clusterfock. I usually cook it in a heavy cast iron pot but I decided to try using the crock pot yesterday. The chicken was thawed, so I figured I could cook it on high for 4-5 hours and be set. Well, I put it all in the crock at 3 and accidentally set it on warm instead of high. Went to the gym, ran some errands, came home at 6 expecting it to be on it's way to being done, and the chicken was still totally raw. I ended up throwing it all into the cast iron pot and cooking it that way which takes about an hour.

So, long story short, crock pot or cast iron pot, lol.

Edit: I forgot to add that there was also a small can of tomato paste, a can of coconut milk and a 1/2 cup of chicken broth mixed in there.

I got food poisoning about 12 years ago from chicken and it was absolutely miserable. Ever since then I'm a nut about making sure poultry is cooked properly, so I check often.

Just discovered the $2 breakfast burrito at Safeway: bacon, egg whites, potatoes, pepper jack. I'm hooked.

If tater tots weren't filled with other crap other than potatoes I'd be all over them.

I feel amazing. I'm just getting sick of a minimum of $100 a week to feed just myself and the amount of time it takes. Plus I'm having troubles gaining weight. I think I'm going to keep going with this, just make it a little less strict so i can get the gains I'm looking for without spending $150+ a week on food.

yeah I spend $600. Only drawback, I don't mind the time. You'd think cooking healthy food in bulk would save you money... fast food is so subsidized and driven by competition that its way cheaper than anything fresh.
