I never said it was right or wrong. I just said it was interesting. I'm glad it's working for you. Everybody has their own goals
![]() I'm personally more of a fan of putting on muscle |

I know you didn't, more just discussing how its worked so far.
Guess my ideal body (and what I've been slowly working towards achieving) is that of a professional hockey player. A balance of muscular definition, leanness, raw strength as well as explosive power and agility in a somewhat smaller frame/weight than say a football player. Been building the frame for the past two years, now slowly shifting towards the strength part. Crossfit type conditioning / agility & explosiveness workouts will be the cherry on top. I'm at least 2 years out from where I want to be.

Before I die, I WILL be 300 lbs. I was 50 shy not too long ago.
After this hernia is all healed up, I'll be right back at it |

Heaviest I've ever been was about 220 (about five years ago, strong but not lean). Last summer I got up to about 206 with faint abs. Loved the way I looked, hated the way I felt.

So far today:
Bowl of frosted flakes cereal for breakfast Lunch: Grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, pile of green beans, 2 glasses of chocolate milk, big piece of bread and butter, small serving of cake for desert Mid lunch / dinner: Worked out, had a gold standard protein shake, a kellogs protein bar. Dinner: Probably getting chicken wings or pizza for dinner going out for vday on a budget with the lady. I think I did alright so far today packing on calories, thoughts?

if you eat like that on days when you workout you are adding muscle and fat at probably an equal ratio. standouts for me that should be eliminated (From a bulking perspective) cereal & milk chocolate milk anytime other than post workout bread and butter cake kelloggs protein bar your dinner (its for v-day so whatever) whats the point of gaining muscle if you add fat at the same rate / more than the same rate? anyone can eat a ton of calories and get stronger, but I've never really been impressed with that. Maintaining a lean physique while getting stronger requires dedication and a sound knowledge of & adherence to a proper diet. i would seriously rate your day 2/10, not trying to be a dick just honest opinion I'm glad to help with any questions you have

make a progress thread and post your numbers / goals / pics / average diet and I have no issue setting you on the right path... others will help too I'm sure best & simplest way to explain: eat more calories than you burn in a day = weight gain the macronutrient ratio (protein/fat/carbs) of those calories combined with heavy weightlifting = controls the amount of muscle gain vs fat gain and in the opposite view eat less calories than you burn in day = weight loss the macronutrient ratio (protein/fat/carbs) of those calories combined with heavy weightlifting = controls the amount of muscle loss vs fat loss I can teach you the most ideal macronutrient ratios to strive for, and even if you come relatively close with the proper , wholesome foods you will reach your goals

I made tiramisu which tasted like focking cheesecake. Fml. That's what happens when you substitute mascarpone and use some fake a55 ladyfingers.
