The 360 isn't that bad with maintenance, it's about the same as the gt3 would be...And if u get a gallardo get a 6 speed, lamborghinis e gear sucks. I drove a friends gallardo with e gear and could smell the clutch burning after driving it.

GT3 > GTR

I've heard maintenence costs on the GTR are pretty extreme (transmission fluid comes to mind). 360 costs are not bad, except for the timing belt (a yearly $3k job).

Although, if you've already wrecked a 996TT, remember that the GT3 is in the same power neighborhood, but with less of the electronic "help" that the TT offers. Check out a 997.2TT for the best of both worlds

I don't know, I just get a bad feeling that the maintenance costs on a Ferrari are nuts. Besides, even if I was considering a 360 I'm not sure I could find a good used one under $100k. Another thing that keeps me leaning towards a GT3 is the resale value of GT3s (even 996s) doesn't crash like it does with the 996TT or the 997TT. There's a big hit the first few years and then the depreciation slows down.

Here you go, similar price, lol, but salvage title, but that could be anything.

But obviously the Porsche, if you can afford it, get it.

My family and friends have owned ferraris, the maintenance isn't too bad on an older model...i can locate you a 360 for under 100 grand that's in good condition, I know people who own exotic dealerships and work at Ferrari.you can also get an f355, I've seen a quite a few that made it past 100k miles and they run great, so they can be reliable if maintained, like a Porsche. I know people with porsches that have nothing but problems, this stopped me from buying a cayman s a couple weeks ago....

But back on topic, if I HAD to chose from the gtr or gt3 I'd get the gt3 only because I hate how the gtr has a black box and driving it how it was designed to be driven voids the warranty...

Go GTR since you already had a P-car before.

It is funny how when I noticed you made this thread I knew this wasn't a joke and you could actually afford these cars. Others have made cars that are most likely out of their price range .

True, I was looking at used 360s, and price for a good one with decent miles is still over 100k. Manual transmissions can be hard to find, although from what I've heard the 02+ F1 isn't bad.

I've heard the opposite about the 355... maintenence nightmares.

And I've heard very little negative about late model porsches, other than the RMS failures in some. How many people do you know with pcars that have nothing but problems, what cars, and what problems?
