whats wrong with getting a preowned 997 carrera s instead of the gt3?
i dont think even a good driver can out perform a 911 in any sense then pocket the 20-25gs saved and get something else worth investing like a down payment on a condo

Because were all Euro-Oriented, personally I think this is a bad place to get opinions on a Euro vs JDM debate.
Personally, I like the GT-R more. They are monsters. Don't get me wrong, I love Porsches with a passion, but there's just something about the GT-R that pulls me toward it.

lol wut? I've driven in both a 997 Carrera S and a 997 GT3 and there is no comparison. It's like comparing a 330 vs an M3. Besides, you see 997 Carreras all over the place and they get killed on depreciation. Both 996 and 997 GT3s have held their values a lot better than any Carrera or even TT because of the limited production. Remember that I'll be borrowing almost all of the money to buy at 2.99% and I can easily swing an addition $400 a month car payment.

but 997 c2s has 380hp and way better dynamics. to even good bmwcca or pca drivers they most likely cannot find or reach the limits to a 997 c2s. 911s are just designed to be that way. can you push 997 c2s to its limits without crashing? because obviously legends say that you have wrecked 996TT by going past its limits. i dont know if you've done research on 997s because i am actually in the market for one. the preowned market has matured and is way more stable than the new market for 2010 models. so depreciation isnt really that much a factor. ALL 911s hold value like no other. there are 996 carreras with low milage going for 40gs here.

where they got car loans @ 2.99% without dealer/manufacturer discounts?
how many months? the traditional 60? i can imagine 24 months would possibly be 2.99 but thats like gallardo payments...

Nope, I'm already a member with a car loan and small amount deposited in a savings account and I've never been in the military/LE or know anyone who has been. Even my local credit union is offering a 3.99% 5-year used car loan. The limit with these car loans tends to be $100k so that is my max budget.

Martin,
Since you said you've already saved up enough money follow these few steps. 1. Buy GT-R 2. Get the Switzer R1K package. (1,000HP!) ![]() 3. Result = Untouchable!
