I took some pics tonight. Most of its in really great shape, especially the amps which are all mint. Here are the pics:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4023679...7624890836009/

I forgot to photograph the JL amp (its in the box under the pq20.2) but its MINT too.

I also have some home audio gear for sale - a MBquart 12" sub (tentatively sold), a pair of Dynaudio Audience 72's ($1050) and a pair of Dynaudio Audience 52's ($600), all in MINT condition.

Can you comment on the sound quality of the A/D/S PQ20.2 vs the Butler TD1500? I am currently using the PQ20 in my bimmer and thinking of upgrading.

I also just went form A/D/S 320is to Boston Acoustic Z5, not sure if I like them.

THe HU is an Alpine 9835.

thanks,

- Steve

ALso, would love to know if there is any issue with warm up time (or any other practical usage issue) of the Butler vs the PQ20 amp.

thanks

There really is no comparison. The 20 is very solid, clean and smooth. But the butler is stronger, faster, and you can dial in the smoothness with the tube enhance knob. BTW, the Butler is a 2 channel, and the pq20 is a 4. You could bridge the 20 to your rears and use the 1500 on the fronts. for speakers I always used Dynaudio.. they were the best, no comparison!

I think I remember some talking about warm up time, but remember that the butler is a MOSFET amp on the output stage, and as such warms up as fast or slow as any other amp out there. The preamp stage is where the tubes are and I guess some say they take time to warm up, but I never noticed a difference. I think the speakers are more inclined to sound bad when cold than an amp - the surrounds are stiff, etc..

Wow, I always held A/D/S amps in highest regards, that's saying a lot about the Butler... thanks for the first hand comments and recommendation. Time to rethink my system, again.

That ESP-3 is a pretty trick piece! Not sure why it didn't sell better. With some careful tuning, it can really add a lot of width and depth to your system.

I've got one in my car

Sure, they are both 3500hz. I have several spare module cards and you can make your own pretty easily. If you know the resistors you need, I'll thrown some in for ya. I can even solder them up for a small fee if you're not comfortable soldering. Here is a pic:

Everything is sold except for the dvd player and headrest monitor, I'll sell both for $115 shipped.

Its everything you'd need to play DVD's in your car and hooks right up to a ps3 or other gaming console..
