have 800 bucks, what double din should i get

since there are so many choices out there, i just wanted someone with experience to inform me on the best choices there is out there for around $800. What i am looking for is bluetooth, dvd, maybe divx player, and some of the brands that i like are eclipses and pioneers. for a headunit, i want something with good eq capabilities and functionality. what are some good choices out there? anyone selling anything?

you also need to be aware of the installtion process it is not an easy one. Very doable if you are handy with your hands. i had no experience but i was still able to install without too much problems.

Have a look at the Dynavin 7" touch screen, specifically for the E46, easy plug n play installation, lots of features, retain steering wheel controls, OEM look............
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=775187

Pic of it fitted in my car.......

+1 on the dynavin. Pm jeff great cs. Unless your buddy is in for a hell of an install. Cutting and fab of duct work. Not for me. The dynavin is really a single din. e46's are single din. Its been done but none look oem. IMO. Let us know what u decide.

Dynavin. Looks perfect when finished and tons of functionality.

I already have :

-DVD player
-Navigation
-Back up camera
-N64
-Ipod/iphone integration (plays videos, music, and displays everything from iphone... as in i can play games, surf the web, etc)

AND IT LOOKS GREAT. Typical double dins look cheap and cost TONS of cash

As stated above, you better check out the details of doing a double din install before you jump in...and bring your hacksaw...its not for the faint of heart...

luckily for you there are now other....less invasive.... options.

I notice from your pic you have an auto, do you have the reverse camera fitted? Was it easy to set up?

I've just ordered a reverse camera and will be fitting it when it arrives so I'll soon find out how hard or easy it is to install.
There's a good detailed post here in one of the Dynavin threads from another member, scroll down to post #4........

does this deck also control the heater? or do i have to move the climate control unit to the lower spot and loose some of the very limited storage space in this car?

i am leaning towards the dynavin more than a current offer i have right now, which is the Alpine IVA-W203 with everything. the work to install the double din does not sound too pleasant..

Lol... I wouldn't disallow the Dynavin because it doesnt control your heaters... it does everything but.

Besides, if you're that concerned about losing space, why the double DIN install then??
