Dynavin Info: Look here first...Part 2..."Version 5"

hi guys just installed my d90 into my car.
my only gripe is my 60gb ipod gen 5 video dont auto resume.
everytime i turn ignition on i have to select album/song.
is there an easy fix for this please?

My V5 unit crashed.I have blank screen on every mode and white screen on NAV mode, no sound nothing....Someone told me I need to reinstall the ROM but it's nowhere to be found.All I could find was for android version

No, you are way off track.....that unit is broken....no rom to fix that. Best case scenario the ribbon cable/plug going to screen might be loose or damaged.

You can find it In the dynavin forums. Look on google for dynavin free forums and it'll take you to those where you can download the most up to date one. I think it was from 3.2012 if I'm not mistaken.

Actually is not fully blank.On AUX mode I get afully readable "Caution do not use while driving sign" and all the modes in the left upper corner are appearing when you change them.And if it's broken who repair those?

but you are not getting a radio screen or cd/dvd screen? And the nav screen is white? If so then my previous post stands, the signals are not reaching the screen because the cable is damaged, one of the plugs is loose, or the main board is dead. Some of those possible causes are more fixable than others.....

Overall I'm much happier with this unit over stock but it has issues and I'm quite certain they are all software related. It would be really nice if they came out with a software update that we could run on the D99 units... even if its at a cost. I get the infamous POP sound when Bluetooth switches back to Radio (scared the crap out of me, jerked the car the first few times). The USB doesn't work properly on my Android Razr Maxx HD, it rapidly blinks "USB connection detected" at the top of my phone and I am unable to do anything with it. End of apple cable from unit is cheap, my casing around the apple cable broke apart, now I have exposed wires and no "lock".

The screen shots are completely differ than my current Navi system on the D99. Did they update the software?

Enhancement requests:
Streaming Bluetooth audio (new unit)
XM Radio and Traffic Updating (new unit)
Software update for D99 unit.
Better phone interface (software update)
Eliminate POPing noise between screen transitions (most likely software update)
Enable audio to be played while in Reverse (or at least an option to enable/disable). (software update)
Better quality cables (New unit)
Better Navigation program. It takes some horrible routes and there is really no way to change them (software update)

So I bought a V5 Win CE unit less than two years ago, now it appears that it stopped working and I see only disturbance on the screen at all modes and white screen on NAVI, no sound nothing...Just wondering does dynavin or someone repairs those or can I get a new motherboard for my unit since I spent over $850 for it and I drive my M3 only on weekends.Or maybe I should get a new one for another $850

is there any way to access the secret factory menu without the remote? or be able to see the firmware version from a different screen?

Factory menu is only (correct me if I'm wrong, Jeff) on the D99 units and up although I never had a D95 to test it. You do that without the remote by going to the settings, and on the system tab (not sound, or display), tapping on the top right.

Hope you fella's can help me as I've contributed mostly to the m3 forum with all the smg problems. This time around I have finished installing the Dynavin WinCE v5, and im amazed at how well the sound is, gui interface matches oem look & feel, and how farely simple it was to install.

The main reason I bought the dynavin was because I was sick and tired of how poor the DICE is for the e46, before my audi I had the dension usa one on my other m3, and I didn't have so many problems... so I made the switch.

I'm almost done with school in software engineering, and was exited to help fellow members with hacks, tweaks, custom themes, and even implement sounds with or after gestures. But inorder to start analzying the code, and figuring out how everything works, I need to get MY system working and trying without touching it for a while.

My issue is with igo8. When I start the navi regardless if i go through menu or hit the navi button I get stuck on this screen.


I checked my MicroSD card and it has the following as root.
1.an empty backup folder
2.a folder named igo8
3.another file which I can't remember now but I think the type was nni, something I haven't seen before.


my issue is, all the custom igo maps downloads are outdated, not available, dead links, and I just spend time reading and reading and reading with no solutions posted on my problem. I've tried searching freeze navigation dynavin, load crash igo8, blah blah blah. I know its not a dynavin issue, im pretty sure someway somehow either the ini file where ever it is got corrupt, or the I have access the .exe file but don't know how to launch winCE.

Please HELP!!
