Do the intake mani!! we've all somewhat seen what headers do... I REALLY wanna know what the b30 intake does, butt dyno on my m52tu (changed mine last november) gave the car top end pull, all the way to redline. There's no more loss of power around 5600-5800rpm, the car even "sputters" at redline shift in every gear, DO IT!!

Iceman you have been doing great work,keep it up.I want to hit the dyno soon. I have left my bimmer for daily use(i bought a turbo eclipse for $800). I wanted an aa supercharger for my 323i, but i think it is going to be money spent for no reason.A max of 300whp 13sec flat 1/4, for $5500. I have rebuilt the whole motor on the eclipse, bigger turbo ...... and have spent $3300. The eclipse will be alot faster than a 13sec flat 1/4. Anyways I will dyno for you guys to compare if it is really worth all the mods for the m52 series. I have a cold air intake, uuc pullies, b30 intake manifold, ebay headers, aa reflash, and a muffler rear section.Lets see what happens.

Tomorrow should be the dyno day. I'm looking at getting my mechanical fan deleted, and a set of underdrive pulleys soon.

(All gains reported are with SAE correction)
Shark Injector and tube style CAI (crappy filter, no velocity stack) 14whp and 13wtq are the best gains compared to stock (with modified stock airbox) ![]() Intake gains over shark aren't as large of course, but there are gains at every rpm. 7-9whp and about 7wtq Last edited by Iceman00; 10-24-2010 at 09:33 AM. |

I'm at the point of no return on this one, In removing the stock box, I snapped my coolant line, and then, while replacing my coolant line, I snapped the neck of my radiator.( And I think the coolant spill could have ruined my alternator.) I'm in no hurry to work around that area again. I'd send you mine, but its a crappy tube from www.cosmoracing.com, and it's a 3inch tube as opposed to the 3.5" that your car runs. The filter also is one step above garbage, its normal oiled filter that didn't come pre-oiled, and of course no velocity stack. Whatever.
