Unhappy Replacing a Blaupunkt with an Alpine - HELP!

Hey guys,

This is my first post and I apologize that it is a question.

My car came with a Blaupunkt business radio with a cassette player. I got an Alpine headunit (part # 65. 12-6 921 963) from a friend. I tried to install it today and something is really confusing me. The Blaupunkt HU works fine and has an awesome sound. The Alpine, however, doesn't output through my right side! Weird, huh?! I KNOWW! Is that a malfunctioning HU or is there something I could do? Obviously I played around with the balance in the HU itself, but all to no avail.

Any answer would help.

Thanks.

If it works fine with the stock radio, it is one of three things: bad radio, bad adapter plug or bad install.

Switching sides on the input wiring will tell you very quickly if the deck is bad.

The output of the deck feds signal to the amplifier....switch sides of the output of the deck so you can tell if it is the deck or the wiring.
