E46 Installed AUX cord, radio won't turn on

Hi I recently installed an AUX cord for my 2005 BMW 330i ZHP. I took out the trim, unplugged the radio connector and other cable and plugged in the cord.

Just like in this video:

But now it seems that the radio is dead and won't turn on. It doesn't even light up. I unplugged the battery for 2 hours but nothing changed.

Any ideas why this might be happening?_a_

When I installed mine I had a similar thing happen too. So I went back in and made sure everything was pushed back tightly. I can't remember which but make sure everything is pushed back including the black piece that pops off.

I did, nothing changed. I checked the fuse too. I took off the Aux cord too for good measure. It seems like there's no power getting to the radio whatsoever.

Any ideas why this might be happening? My radio was functioning fine before I installed the cable.

Check the fuses again, and if they look good, I would suspect the headunit is faulty

Verify this with a meter at the plug. No power at the plug, keep searching for where you are loosing it. Power at the plug? Suspect the head unit as noted above. Electronics can fail for no apparent reason.

Turns out it was the head unit fuse. Thanks! Radio works fine now.
