Thanks. I managed to fix the seat. Actually I am not sure what I did, but somewhere in the dissassembly/reassembly process I managed to make it work 100%.

I haven't tracked my e30 yet. Still need to replace some parts like the nonexistent motor mounts

Ya I really wanna go, this is the second to last one this year for CCA, but I am scared as I havnt actually been under the car yet. , have no clue as to teh condition of the brake fluid or anything else. but its only about 30 miles from home so not a big deal.....

Still need to do maintenance on the Brakes before going on to the track.

Think the wheels are Hot...Should see whats coming to Complement them

I dont even know what to think you may be doing to that car now.....

Ya, to be safe I should. I took front drivers, and rear passenger (randomly) and checked the pads are ok. The thing wallows like crazy, especially compared to how the e46 used to be.

I need to make a trip to HF in the next few days. they have ratcheting wrenches on sale, and I need to get a bleed bottle now that I think about it.

Should be able to figure it out buy looking my at my Recent Threads and Post.

Just need some TLC. Probably need Bushings and some minor work and should be all well.

hehe. its gonna get a whole lot more than that.

took a look around. What color the calipers gonna be? also kinda want that HD camera and mount you got, but thast money i dont need to be spending.

good luck. i decided to pass on the autoX cause i dont really have time and cause I have no clue about the condition of my car, I dont want to pay for a 30 mile tow.

however that frees up time this weekend for a little DIY. So there will be updates before the weekend is out.

a little bitty update. Basically i think I am just gonna donate a few hours a day to the car so there should be some more updates soon.

Audio:
Current ok headunit - nothing wrong just kinda old

Professional head unit removal tools but seriously these work better than any professional tool. Just cut up a coat hanger

Instead of using stock speaker wiring they ran their own. the question is why? guess the only way to find out is to hook up the stock wires to the new speaker and new headunit


So couple of audio questions:
Do my stock wires work?
How do I get to the rear speakers - the speaker protector things dont seem to wanna come off?
Does this newer headunit that was included with the car work?

I am probably gonna use crimps to put the new harness in and test the headunit first - if all is well I will return to stock wires.....

Exploration time:

Newish steering wheel - mine bends and flexes - this one does not....


Extra head I got with purchase - upon inspection it needs a new cam - there is wear on a single lobe so that means one of the oil tunnels is probably jammed. Probably going to get a new cam and rebuild this head and swap it over. If i let it sit in brake cleaner bath + compressed air I should be able to clean the head out right?

You look like a do-it-yourselfer. Best audio option is (2) 6.5 components in the door and a sub in the rear. **** the rear speakers. They're useless. And yes I said the door. Get them out of the kickpanel. Below is what I did. I have another set but one got damaged so if you want I can ship them to you for 100 shipped. Direct replacement for the map pocket.

Thats pretty cool and I have seen fiberglass + wood versions of that. The thing is I am not an audiophile - at least not in this car. Remember this is not a show/low car - this is going to the track. I am fine with the quality of the audio - I just want to go back to using the stock wires.
