Ok but there is clearly more to it then that, in terms of re-routing the wires and such.

Also what does that hood button do?

Hood button will sense if the hood is open and set the alarm off.

Yes. Hood sensor wire needs to be extended. Positive terminals swapped. And some plastic cutting. There is a bmw write up on this forum i followed. Search on bmw performance strut brace.

All cars have those buttons regardless. To check if you ACTUALLY have an alarm just look under your cover in the center of your headliner. If you see a sensor there then you have it if not then no.

Thanks! No alarm so that button is going bye-bye.
All i have to worry about it re-mounting the Positive Battery Terminal.

There's an actual PDF walk-through from BMW themselves for dealerships to follow when installing the strut bar... I have it saved on my work computer so I'll post it Monday if someone doesn't already do so, I doubt any of you are in a hurry anyways since we're still waiting for them.

I just ordered both the intake and strut bar a little bit ago completely on impulse aided a bit by alcohol. I'm glad I did it but now I'm gonna be broke for a little while.

More importantly though I'd like to know if this is an automatic fix for the cracks in our stock intake elbows.

Also a noobish question but in the far away future if I get the TT or AA kit does the intake get re-used or do the kits do away with it?

you should probably just replace them though while you do the intake. It will also give you a chance to clean the throttle body and the ICV.

I ordered my intake Friday Night!!! Yay!!! But I ordered from bmwmercedespartsource.com becuase their price was like 275 on it plus anything over 300 is free shipping so I went ahead and got some other stuff that I needed too, I hope that they either have some in stock or get the order in before they're all sold. Anyone have any insight on this?
