Can the intake be made to fit the 323? What is different about it that it isn't listed for the 323?

The 323 has the M52 motor, and the 325 has the M54. Is this somehow the cause?

Official BMW Installation Instructions for the BMW E46 Performance Carbon Fiber Strut Brace.

It includes all necessary steps required to relocate the positive terminal and alarm. You are basically going to extend the alarm wire by 15 inches and flip the battery box to the other side of the partition.

Hmm, I don't know if it's worth me selling the dinan intake for the BMW one. I have those rpi scoops that divert air into the box, as well as the tube that runs down to the brake duct. Essentially in my situation it would come down to which filter is better.

already posted it yesterday in post #112

c'mon get onboard with the thread

Guys, I already have this installed on my car(see earlier link to installed thread). It doesn't take too much time but there is some trimming and very minor splicing, dremel worked like a charm. Basically what you do is flip the battery terminal to the "drug bin" and the alarm button to the side so it can clear the one piece bar when installing. You are suppose to also trim some of the hood insulation, specs are very simple and exact in the BMW Installation .pdf that I posted earlier. I however didn't trim my insulation as I have an M3 hood and didn't notice a need.

For those wondering more about the Intake. Here are two more thread Reviews from members. I don't think they were happy with them at a $700 price tag but would think they would be now that the price is bottomed out.

I just got done modifying the battery terminal. I totaly removed the alarm button since i dont have an alarm. The whole job didnt take more than 1/2 hour. Now i just have to wait for the strut brace to come in.

The sound is just a bit better, not all that different but definitely louder and sounds more responsive. It should sound great at the track. I had read about a drone at about 3000 RPM and I definitely don't have that. I really like the looks, and it is noticeably lighter.
It could have been a bear to install, my first 3 sawzall blades all went bad fast. I was worried and bought a dozen new ones but it got through it with only one, I guess they were better than the ones I had. Details to follow.
