"Interesting" Track day at Streets of Willow - Dancing with n00bs

Words can't describe the track day that I went to a couple weeks ago.

It was interesting to say the least.

It was an open track day, and it was just that. There was no organization, and some of the stuff that I witnessed was kinda...scary..

It was almost scary to pass. Nobody even knew what a point-by was, so I was skeptical about passing them, not knowing what they would do.

Nice videos and picture! Couldn't help but think i was watching some kind of underground old school video of the stig racing around the track.

Timing?! They didn't even have a "registration check in" area. They didn't even have a list...

I was running timing on my Aim Solo and my FTD was a 1:27.3

As a tracker myself, but nowheres near enough over the last few years, I would say that that track day had to be one your more "interesting" ones!
Did anybody break down?
Was that a GoPro you were using?
It looked like a rather flowing track. Fairly easy on brakes?

The Skyline GT-R blew his motor.

The Evo X blew his clutch.

2 other cars, a WRX and someone else blew their motors as well....

Yes I was using a GoPro HERO HD (1) with a custom external mic. It sounds pretty damn good.

It's a very small track. Check out this much faster video.

Yea, the audio was great! Nice exhaust note! I have a GoPro too. But it's the 960 wide angle version.
Obviously that is your track car? What brake pads do you use?

It's also my daily driver. But I also have a 318ti.

I run OEM rotors, ATE SuperBlue, SS lines, PFC06 front pads, and Hawk HP+ rear (Hate them)

Dude awesome pics !

Favorite pics I have seen in a long time!

I will check out the videos as well soon.

Almost looked like you were practicing your drifting on that turn.

I almost think that I would get flagged for that on the track days I attend.

And that blue Carrera is unbelievable any more info on that car?

Regards,
Loay
