My Ride: 2002 E46 M3 Coupe
Sound system install finished!

2002 M3 coupe
Sony MEX-GS810BH Headunit
Sirius SXV200 satellite radio tuner
PAC-Audio SWI-CP5 steering wheel interface
Centered dash kit from mybimmer.net
Focal 130AS 5.25" components in doors
Focal 130A1 SG 5.25 components in rear deck (I have the wider style grills, so I was able to surface mount the tweeters in the rear deck and they are completely hidden under the grills)
Viva NE65W-04 mids in rear seat side panels. (Stock location)
Stereo Integrity BM MK IV 12" shallow mount subwoofer in 0.6 cu-ft enclosure suspended from trunk ceiling.
JL Audio XD1000/5v2 5 channel amp powering doors, rear deck, and subwoofer.
Front channel speaker outputs powering the Vifa's in the side pannels with capacitors blocking 800hz and below (having them on front channels gives rear seat passengers some "staging" and also gives them clear audio for incoming telephone calls. (Radio supports bluetooth).
Everything is completely hidden except the sub and the headunit (one of the display color choices is amber and it looks quite integrated with other displays in the dash. Here are pics of the sub. I didn't take pics of head unit because I still have center vent removed. I'm still playing with the programming of the steering wheel controls and having the vent removed gives me easy access to the module. It's pretty cool, you can program two functions onto each button on the steering wheel. One function for a momentary press and a different function if you hold the button down longer. Also replaced all interior lights and trunk lights with LED from bmwled.com Great service from them. One bulb was DOA. I emailed them and I got a reply same day. They mailed be out a replacement and an additional spare bulb. Class act! The interior light kit is available with an LED panel for the main dome light. It has 30 surface mount LED's on it!
LED Angel Eyes/Halo rings also from bmwled.com
Weisslicht LED license plate illumination (not just a bulb replacement, each unit is an LED panel like my dome light.

Hows the BM MK IV? I'm looking at changing my current set up (IDQ sitting over battery) to a similar set up to yours (BM MK IV in an enclosure attached to the rear deck). I know it won't be as hard hitting as the IDQ, is which fine.

What's the dimensions of your enclosure?

Thanks!

Exterior is 18.25x14.25x6.5 using " MDF. So interior is 16.75x12.75x5 which comes to about 1068 cubic inches (.62 cu-ft). Driver displaces .05 cu-ft so net interior volume is .57 cu-ft. Very happy with the woofer and very happy with the service delivered by Nick at Stereo Integrity.

Hey, i'm new to these forums. After looking at your after market radio and sub setup I was hoping you would be able to help.
I have my aftermarket radio set up absolutley fine, i have channeled cables through car for subwoofer and wired in... But my sub won't power on.
My question is, where did you manage to wire the earth cable to? as i believe this could be the reason for me.
Thanks, Nath

+12V for amp directly to battery terminal (fused of course) and GND to chassis end of battery ground strap.
