Go to the europeanautosource.com website and click on "Interior." They have a single DIN centered E46 radio carrier bracket for $125.

awesome, that's perfect

so, is this all I would need to do the install?

I've heard from some people that you have to modify to get the HU to fit? What kind of mods, if any, are necessary? I'm really hoping you don't have to cut any of the vents or anything?

Does anyone know the clearance measurements for the Business CD Player?

The cover that eas (first picture below) sells below doesn't look like the one from bimmernet (second picture)? The creases don't seem to go all the way across the face of the cover? (or is it just me?)

No mods required.

Just need an antenna adapter, wiring harness and, if you want a steering wheel interface

Thanks man

So, is the antenna adapter/wiring harness/steering wheel control items specific to the car, or to the HU (Can I buy these as "general" items before I buy my HU, or should I wait to purchase until I get the HU?)

If your new HU is DIN sized, you can order in advance - we have them in stock.

Do I really need a new carrier, or can I just mod. my existing one?

I am planning on installing the Kenwood KVT if it makes a difference...

I still dont understand why the bezels from EAS and mybimmer.net look different?

The carrier is required for the centered bezel, the kit we offer is an original BMW piece.

antenna adapter + harness are standard for any head unit. Steering wheel interface is unit-specific.

Thanks so much guys

Im still confused as to why the bezels in the pictures above, specifically, the "crease" on the bezel, look different though?

Which one is OEM? To me, the one from mybimmer.net looks like it matches the car much better?

Ours are OEM, I believe the mybimmer.net ones are custom made - you would have to ask him.

I haven't seen one, but it is pretty easy if you have a dremel. Just have to shave the plastic off a bit.

Grab the radio, center it, mark the plastic you need to cut, then cut ...or you can buy the piece ^ for 20 bucks

I want to go with a centered kit for my single din unit also. This is the h/u I want:

http://signature.crutchfield.com/S-5...-KDC-X993.html

Has great features and customizable color so can be adjusted to match BMW red/orange.

As for the centered kit, notice the h/u has a bezel frame around it. I take it with the mybimmer kit you do not use the bezel that comes with the h/u and with the eas kit you do use the bezel? I am trying to decide which will look better. Has anyone used the eas kit? Any pictures please? You can see that the kenwood bezel tapers off to the side. I am wondering what this will look like with the eas kit. If the edge of the kenwood bezel does not line up with the edge of the eas bezel perhaps could put spacers to make it line up. I want this to look good. Thoughts? Pictures?

Don't know about this particular unit, bu 99% of the DIN units are standard and will fit. I am pretty sure the trim is removable. It has been for all the Kenwoods I have installed.
