Got the TTS working with Primo based on Darkoz post on page 4, thank you man. It is funny with some of the pronunciation of the road names being way off.

Anybody use the screen capture function on Primo? Id like to post a screen shot and I tried to use it, but couldnt find where the image was stored, or if it even took it.

Primo 1.1 Download - North America

This is for anyone who's looking for Primo 1.1 800x480 resolution
I've uploaded a copy which includes the North America poi, dem, phoneme, 3d buildings files etc. along with TTS voices so it's all ready for you to use.
You only need to add the USA map files (link below) to the map folder.
Just unzip the Darkoz.zip file and copy the iGO Primo folder onto your SD card

Link 1 - Download Darkoz.zip from FileFactory.com
Link 2 - http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4h2b6b/n/Darkoz.zip

And download North America Navteq Q4 2009 maps here.......
Unzip and copy all the map files to the content\map folder

Download Darkoz-US-maps.zip from FileFactory.com

Thank you Darkoz.

N.A. is no good to me per se (being in the UK and all), but it's very useful to see a working version and which file types are supposed to go in which folders. I can edit/build from there. Cheers dude

No worries, all you'll need to do is delete the North America specific files and add the UK maps, poi, dem, 3Dbuildings files etc. to the corresponding folders.

Has anyone else tried the WinCE Emulator?

I've managed to piece together what appears to be a working UK version of Primo. Darkoz's made up the most part, although seems there's an error with the English Language file - some i18n/800_400/logcollection file (it's there in the US and Aus folders) - nicked it from another download though It also doesn't seem to like the folders entry in the systxt, but I think this may be specific to the emulator.

But, now I'm through to the opening screen of the emulator and it's asking whether I want my information collected... except I can't click anything! Doesn't seem to respond to the mouse. Anyone know how to control it?

(Yes, I even tried pressing the screen on my netbook )

Cheers.

I'll upload the full Australian Primo 1.1 which includes the maps, dem, 3Dbuildings, poi, phoneme, TTS voice files etc. when I get home tonight.
The Aus maps are much smaller then US maps so I can upload the whole lot in one file.

I tried iGO Primo in the package Darkoz provided, which worked great (minus the fact that I needed Canada maps, which the package Darkoz provided din't have but I found them). The thing is, having seen videos/images of iGO Primo working in the past, I remember it being a lot 'prettier'. Are there themes that make it look better (or I'll just say 'different', since better is subjective) than the package you provided Darkoz?

It all depends on what skins you're using and how you adjust the settings within Primo.
Have you tried the different colour themes and skins in the settings?

Here's a link to Primo 1.1 800x480 resolution with the latest Australia maps and files which includes , dem, poi, TTS voices (announces street names) , speedcam, 3Dbuildings, phoneme and 3D cars etc.
Just unzip Darkoz_OZ.zip and copy the iGO Primo folder to your SD card, adjust the settings within Primo to your liking and you're good to go.

Here is a day and night screen shot from the setup from 2000_328ci. I think they look pretty good. How are yours different?

Like I said, they're just different skins that you can use and customize to your liking.
Frankly, most of those homemade skins look too busy, they have too much crap all over the screen.
Here's a shot of one of the night themes that I use........

Day theme with route selected..........

Darkoz,

Thanks a lot, just when I was hoping to wrap up my changes to Primo you remind me that I want to get the arrow to be a vehicle. lol

And can't we make it not as busy with just going thru the menu and selecting or unselecting stuff? I thought I saw a lot in there that we can remove from being displayed. I just haven't gotten to that stage yet.

Darkoz, does your Oz version also remind the user that "Darko, you are over the speed limit!"

I found the ini file to change it... but I wonder how many others will be surprised by it

TRBOVNM, Jeez, is it really that in-depth?? Looks like my fiancee's gonna be a Primo-widow...
