Where can I buy THIS radiator drain plug

Long story short the other drain plugs won't fit into my radiator. I don't know what brand radiator it is because it was replaced before I knew anything about cars. But here are a few pictures of the drain plug.. I can't find any part number or indication on the radiator itself of what brand it is

After extensive research'm guessing it's the "valeo" drain plug pictures here: http://www.valeoservice.com/data/mas...98.pdf?rnd=994

My drain plug is all chewed up from trying to get it out and it doesn't look like there is an O-ring on it

Assuming you have a manual, this is it:

Part # 17111437359

It looks like part of yours sheared off. You need to get the other piece out. Also once you take this "bolt" looking part out, you can't put it back in. The little wings break off. Only the blue screw part is removable.

Oh but you have a valeo radiator so apparently the BMW one won't fit...So gimme a minute.

I can't find it. Call Valeo.

Honestly there isn't another piece in there. I can see up the radiator. Neither of those would fit it. There is only that little black stub.. I know it says is only two different types of radiator drain plugs, but there definitely is a third that is made in the newer radiators. Look at the link I provided

Yeah that's the one for the manual I linked. The regular Auto one looks similar but has two O-rings. However, neither have the threaded design like the Valeo needs. That's why you'll need to call them I think. England is 5-6 hours ahead of you in Boston. Call first thing in the morning ~7-8am.

Don't hold me to it but I might have one. My radiator came with manual and automatic drain plug. If we didn't toss it away and if I can find it you can have it. I'll try to check tomorrow

This is why I'm afraid to do what should be a simple coolant replacement. You might need a new radiator. Or to use epoxy.

Yeah you're ****ing telling me. Understand why they just can't use the same ****ing drain plug. Really aggravating after you spend four days redoing the entire cooling system (because I'm not a mechanic, I am an "e46fanatic-anic" lol) only to have a stupid problem like this. I'm going to have to use some type of epoxy and buy a new radiator next time I do something of the cooling system over..

Maybe I'll make a new thread asking those who have this radiator and have a manual transmission to see if they still have the automatic transmission drain plug LOL. You think someone on eBay would sell it then again it doesn't even have a part number

Plug it with anything epoxied in place and forget it. You can drain coolant easy enough by disconnecting the lower hose.
