Some people need to learn what SQUARE wheels are... SAME rim diameter, same WIDTH, same OFFSET, same tire SECTION WIDTH, same ASPECT RATIO.

18x9.5 et 20 with 215/40-18 ALL FOUR CORNERS is square
18x9 front 18x9.5 rear is NOT square
215/40 fronts and 235/40 rears is NOT square
et 20 front and et 15 rear is NOT square (I don't care if you added a spacer in the rear, if you change the final ET, you're NOT fukking square anymore.

SQUARE set up means you can rotate your tires ANY way. Put fronts on rear, rears on fronts, lefts on rights, front left on rear right, etc. If you have a different offset in the rear, or different section width, you CANNOT do that. therefore, you are NOT square...

Offset doesn't and usually isn't the sane for it to be a square setup. So relax.

If you have different spacers in the rear and front, how are the fronts and rears not interchangeable?? My spacers stay on my hubs the wheels do there own thing. Look through this thread before you spaz, 90% of the setups on here are different offsets.

But yea my car and evaps car are close, except his was a steel grey 323 sedan with vmrs and i have a steel blue 330 coupe with breytons.

Offset doesn't affect it being considered square? Ok, then you have ET20 fronts and fukk it, lets say ET8 rears, rotate your right side tires only, put the rear in the front and the front in the rear. So now your front left is ET20, front right is ET8, rear left is ET8 and rear right is ET20. Drive around like that for a month and tell me how your cars drives!!!! You wouldn't do that would you? Ok, so then offset DOES affect it being SQUARE.... SQUARE means you can pick a random wheel and put it on ANY given corner of the car, and it will work. Square = all 4 corners the SAME!!!

Hence the reason for my rant... People need to learn what SQUARE is. Granted the E46 M isn't designed to be a square set up. The rear fenders are a lot wider than the front fenders and if you put a TRUE square set up on an M3, the fronts will be Mexi-flush and the rears will be Hellasunk... but that's beside the point. Non-M coupes and sedans have no excuse.

if you have 20mm rear spacers and no front spacers the rims are still square. Like i said, spacers stay with the hub. i think you need to learn what SQUARE is.

I know the spacers stay with the hub, and I know what square is. Problem with spacers is that when you ask people for their specs, they tell you the FINAL specs after spacers. (ex. 18x9.5 ET20 front 18x9.5 ET10 rear)

This is difficult to discern whether the rims AREN'T square, or dude's running spacers. A PROPER response if running a true squared set up but have spacers for flushness, would be something to this effect (18x9.5 ET20 all the way around with the addition of 10mm spacers on the rear bringing final rear to ET10) Now you KNOW dude is squared, but running spacers. But nah.... nobody posts ish like that, they just give the final specs.

This is a good example of what I'm talking about. Dibaltic IS on a square wheel set up. I'm not sure about tires sizes, because he didn't post them, BUT, I know for a fact his wheels are square. They are C4 Corvette wheels. ORIGINAL specs are 17x9.5 ET56, but look how Dibaltic posted his "specs" His method makes it look like the rims aren't square. When in actuality, he's running a 38mm adapter in the front and 46mm adapter in the rear, giving him to his final specs.

This is a proper way to post specs of a square set up.
