How can I tighten up the shift linkage on my ZHP?
I have 110k on my 6-spd. ZHP now, and the shifter has a lot of slop when in gear. Both side to side movement, as well as fore and aft. All I can find in the line of replacement O-rings, cups and washers are for 5-speed cars, or M3's.
I have referenced this thread http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...sloppy+shifter but I don't think this applies to my car. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Before you go down the DSSR route, inspect where exactly the play is occuring. On my M3 for example, even after 20 years it appeared that the stock linkage was dead solid, however the the rubber bushing at the end of the carrier where shot.

Already ordered it. I will inspect bushings during install and replace as needed if necessary.
