managed to gert 3 coats of resin on yesterday and bake the parts. Hoping I can wet sand and clear coat tonight. They're looking like I should be there; will know for sure once I wet sand @ 220. If I can get part smooth with no dimples or divets or other imperfections, we're good to go for painting tonight..

Just finished an e46 sedan set in same blue. M3 set is being wet sanded tonight and hopefully clear coated as well. Here are a few of the finished sedan set.

Quite a difference from the original bright blue as it appeared on the roll....

Looks like you are perfecting the whole process. These look so much better than the first set that you made and posted on here. Just curious to know how much you charge for a set. Any discount rate for two set? One for my e46 and the other is for an e39. Pm me.

Sorry bud; missed this posting. Haven't been online much other than posting last night as I've been swamped and building a paint booth set me back about 1.5 weeks..... Have 23 pieces to finish for various folks.

Shipped 9 out last night, going to wet sanding 11 pieces tonight and a buddy that is an HVAC guy is coming by to work on ventilation of the booth at same time as it's not exhausting air quick enough and becomes foggy after 10 - 15 mins of spraying... Been playing with different venting and fan configurations to try to address.... Can only spray 5-6 parts, then need to leave room and let it vent before continuing.... PITA!!! Here's a couple of pictures of the booth.....

From outside of garage

Inside the booth. Paint table under vent hood and drying/curing table on right. Build metal tables with mesh counters to avoid splash back typical when spraying onto a hard surface. The paint/clear actually bounces off surfaces and can land back on part causing mark (bump, orange peel, etc)...

The rest of the shop (previously double garage LOL) in a mess to accomodate build: (the table in background is where I wrap and the notebook visible is where I'm posting from now LOL)

Outside complete!!!

I'm always interested in multiple sets..... PM sent.

OI like the red interior; may try blue to see which I prefer. Suspect, it'll give the interior an entirely different look.

That blue looks nice! Not too blue at all. Looks like it would work well in a black interior. Great stuff!

Finishing a blue set for an M3 tonight..... Just about finished 220 grit, then 400 + 800 and spray. Heating up the booth now...... Want it about 80 to spray (and it's no where near 80 here now; more like 40)

Going to get visit from cops for sure soon.... my electricity bill is going to skyrocket this winter....2 exhaust fans for booth, 60 gallon compressor and 3 rd fan for heating...winter prices coming soon..... LOL All this power consumption is going to kill me.... LOL

Plus you live in Hamilton, so you KNOW the cops will assume a major pot grow-op.

Actually Brampton, but remember I dress in my sperm suit (full white coverall including hood), with google and double canister mask; the booth is lit quite brightly; its wrapped in plastic, has 3 fans attached to it..... LOL sounds like a grow-op to me.... well, if the CF doesn't take off, I know what I can do to make some real $$$..... LOL..... add a few tables and well..... you know......

you live in Ottawa..... maybe you work for CSIS..... LOL

Finishing smoke and HAVE to get back to wet sanding.... fueled by X-Large Timmies coffee
