On Saturday morning, Jimmy stopped by with his ZCP for a checkup of his new TCK suspension. We did a quick drive and noticed some clunking. After lifting the car up and inspecting the suspension, it looks like there's excessive play in the both front damper shafts. Looks like they'll have to be replaced under warranty.
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3341.jpg[/IMG]

While he was over, we installed an AUX input:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3344.jpg[/IMG]

It was about lunchtime and Miles had just showed up so we headed over to see what mtnbound (Dave) had some fanatics doing to his vert. Briangle and Drewdown were just about finished installing the brake upgrade:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3353.jpg[/IMG]

Brian had cleaned the old barely used rotors up nicely:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3355.jpg[/IMG]

And here's one side bolted on:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3357.jpg[/IMG]

And bled:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3358.jpg[/IMG]

Drew was using a pressure bleeder to make bleeding a cinch:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3360.jpg[/IMG]

Meanwhile Miles tried his darnedest to ride Dave's neglected bike. Unsticking the chain:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3361.jpg[/IMG]

[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3362.jpg[/IMG]

Finally it was time to see the wheels go on:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3363.jpg[/IMG]
And they didn't quite clear the calipers. No surprise since the calipers are quite chunky.

That clearance issue would need to be remedied with spacers, but in the meantime, the car had to go back in the garage, so time to borrow the wheels from the wagon:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3365.jpg[/IMG]

Mix-n-match:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3366.jpg[/IMG]

Even then, there was very little clearance:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3374.jpg[/IMG]

Finally, lunch. Toby decided to drop in, too.
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3375.jpg[/IMG]

Back at my place, Briangle and Drew went to town on Briangle's 330 brake upgrade and front wheel bearing replacement with Miles providing assistance and DJ Ramin and Toby providing emotional support.
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3376.jpg[/IMG]

Briangle going at it. It's a pretty straightforward job. I only stepped in now and then to provide some supervision and helpful tips.
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3378.jpg[/IMG]

Meanwhile, I was busy taking Brigitte apart to change a few rotating parts. The belt had started squealing mostly while cold, which I tracked down to the alternator. Additionally, the M3 power steering pump I had used from the donor engine was leaking and the water pump shaft had developed some play in it. While I was in there, I wanted to finally replace the non-M P/S cooling coil with the angled+finned M3 one.
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3380.jpg[/IMG]

Drew finishing up one side:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3382.jpg[/IMG]

Documenting the work along the way:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3383.jpg[/IMG]

330 caliper and rotor installed on Briangle's 325i:
[IMGhttp://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq292/cyberkaa/garagewerke/IMG_3385.jpg[/IMG]

And my pile of parts waiting to go in:

Actually, it's a repost.

I just thought of you when he got to the "high on life" part.

You know, Miles, I think you might be on to something here. You know, I've been wanting a General Forum general chat thread for a while, and no one would ever suspect Kalim's thread as such a place!

You're semi-banned? Does that mean you can't ever post in the Iowa subforum again since you posted that pictorial thread of you with goats and sheep? That was really something, I have to say. I was surprised it was you, as I would have thought Billy Ray first, but man, you're really limber, aren't you? Impressive!

I'm into furries, not farm animals, get it right.

Somebody who I used to consider a friend started reporting every post I made and eventually got me banned from my own regional forum.

Uh, oh...haven't followed things out West in a while...so sorry to hear that.

You're welcome here any time, Miles...well, say like 94% of the time! LOL

I have a suspect in mind, but won't go hunting for the truth...sorry to hear that your common love of cars didn't keep you together.

Have you seen our new child though? He arrived right around the time I was banned. He has the random, weird, foul interestingness I provide myself in, but the stream of thought and post endurance of you. His name is hizhiness

I think NGC has declared it our child, and his posts are interesting enough that I'd be ok with it.

Miles,

Our one night together meant a lot to me, but I had no idea...you should have called or PMd and broke it to me gently!

With your brains and my punctuation and spelling, I bet he's really something! I think I've been in a thread or two with him...sure hope I didn't troll too hard on the lad!

/threadjack...my apologies, Kalim. Don't want to risk your thread!

Actually, I'm not sure if he got the brains for the punctuation and spelling. Just the weird long posts.

- Miles - you should start a new thread. Something catchy like "Banished Users Nonsense Galley (BUNG)".

There would be absolutely not TP (Thread Pollution) for my BUNG (Banished Users Nonsense Galley).

I would make my own thread if I could. Unless I'm making one of my informative threads, usually everything fails miserably and/or gets closed by Tim.
