M.O.T advisories
Hia had my m.o.t done the other week, it passed but had a few advisories on it, these were:
N/s front anti roll bar linkage has slight play in a ball joint. N/s & o/s rear upper trailing arm has slight play in a pin/bush. N/s &o/s front suspension has slight movement at a wishbone pin or bush. I'm wondering how much do you think I should be looking at to get these Done? and are they essential? Many thanks. Daz |

These are all common problems with the E46, not essential to replace if they only have slight movement, but it would make the car feel more planted.
Front roll bar linkage costs around £20 and takes 15 mins to replace. RTAB - Couple of hours labour and ~£50 parts. . Front wishbone bushes - ~£50 parts and 1 hours labour I am not a mechanic so this is just a guess but I think you are looking at £250-£300 for the job. |

The first 2 are pretty easy, there are plenty of DIY's on here. The Rear trailing arm bushes are more tricky and you need an expensive bushing tool. I would find a good indy
