My Ride: 2004 330i ZHP
FS: 2004 Imola Red 330i ZHP sedan, 6MT

November update: Car is sold!

I am re-listing this since I recently did some work to it (mainly replaced the VANOS and spark plugs)

2004 330i with ZHP package
6-spd manual
Imola Red
Black leather interior w/ black cube trim
63K miles
Cold weather pkg (heated seats, fold down rear seats, ski bag pass through, headlight washers)
Xenon headlights
HK sound system

Located in Maryland (Howard County).

Car is in excellent condition. Shifting is tight and smooth, etc.
Cosmetically excellent. A few minor rock chips but better than expected for its mileage. No dings or dents.

Alcantara steering wheel was replaced less than 10K miles ago, so it is in good shape. New ZHP shift knob also installed at that time. I can install an M3 tri-stitch leather wheel if you prefer it.

Car is stock except for a bigger front swaybar (H&R 27mm adjustable). I will also include the original front swaybar. There is also a DICE iPod integration kit installed.

$17,000 firm

Here is the history of the car since I've owned it:

March 2008, 52,000 miles
Purchased car from CARMAX. Clean CARFAX report. One previous owner. Oil and filters look clean. Cabin air filter looks new. No obvious maintenance issues. Looks to be in excellent condition and well maintained.
Tires (Pirelli P-Zero Nero) are brand new, and brakes look brand new.

April 2008
Performed a complete exterior and interior detail, including paint correction:
o Washed with Dawn to remove old wax
o Scrubbed windows with Glass Scrub to remove hard water spots
o Cleaned the paint with a clay bar to remove impurities
o Performed paint correction (to remove swirls and fine scratches), using a random orbital polisher:
* Menzerna Intensive Polish with an orange pad
* Menzerna Final Polish II with a white pad
o Sealed the paint, using the random orbital polisher with a blue pad:
* Klasse All-In-One sealer
* Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
o Additional sealing and polishing:
* Zaino Z-5
* Zaino Z-2
* Zaino Z-6 between coats
* Zaino Z-8 final
o Cleaned wheels and waxed with Wheel Wax
o Treated black trim with Mother's Back-to-Black
o Restored leather seats with Leatherique Prestine Clean
o Sealed windshield with Rain-X
o Sealed other windows with Klasse All-In-One

All subsequent washes done by hand.
Car was polished/sealed at least every 3 months using either Zaino products or Jetseal 109 (I like the protection of Jetseal 109 prior to winter)

June 2008
Installed larger front swaybar and bushings (H&R 27mm adjustable)
Replaced worn alcantara steering wheel with a new one
Installed a new ZHP 6-speed shift knob
Installed DICE iPod integration kit (in trunk)

Sep 2008, 55,000 miles
Changed oil with BMW 5W-30 synthetic and BMW filter
Replaced engine air filter and cabin air filter
Replaced front control arm bushings

58,000 miles
Changed oil with BMW 5W-30 synthetic and BMW filter

July 2010, 61,000 miles (performed at Russell BMW)
Replaced driver's side rear drip rail/window trim, which was loose
Replaced warped side molding on drivers front fender
Changed oil with BMW 5W-30 synthetic and BMW filter
Flushed and replaced brake fluid
Flushed and replaced coolant
Performed vehicle inspection, everything was fine

October 2010, 64,000 miles
Replaced VANOS with Dr. VANOS blueprinted unit
Replaced valve cover (old one broke upon removal)
Replaced valve cover gaskets
Replaced valve cover insulators
Replaced spark plugs
Note: Engine looked very clean inside cylinder head - no sludge or
varnish at all.

Car was autocrossed a few times in 2008, only once in 2009, and none in 2010.

Hot car, GLWS sir. Great to see a fellow fanatical imola owner.

So you like Jetseal huh? I've been thinking of going to Jetseal for winter protection. FMJ looks fantastic but I've heard lots of great things about JetSeal, and the more CG products I use, the more I like the company...

Out of curiosity ... any reason you do Menz IP then FPII, and then Klasse AIO before HGSG? From my understanding it seems like it would be overkill.

Again, GLWS!

Car is sold!

It probably is overkill, but that's how I tend to do things.
Menz IP does the initial paint correction, FPII gets rid of the finer swirls and makes it look like glass, the Klass AIO seals it, and the HGSG seals it again and adds some more depth to the shine. A paste wax could add even more depth, but you then have to strip it off if you want to use a polymer sealer again.

I keep going back to the Zaino products, though. I think they are absolutely the best for single-stage (non clear coat) finishes, but also work quite well on clear coat cars.

JetSeal is very durable and also leaves quite a nice shine, and it's easy to use. I use it on the family SUV and minivan all the time and pre-winter on the BMW.

Congratulations on the sale. That is precisely how I like to sell my vehicles too - detailed and showroom quality. It impresses and seals the deal, good job
