Question Best Night Vision / Infrared Camera?

I have an idea for a YouTube video series that will require a night vision / infrared camera that can record a couple people in complete darkness indoors (and no it is not porn!). So far I have been looking at the FLIR ONE for the iphone and some outdoor security cameras. I am not sure if the FLIR ONE can do a good job of recording videos in complete darkness since all of the demos I have seen are on convention floors with lots of lighting. The security cameras might work, but I would like something in the form factor of a GoPro that is small, light-weight and able to record videos in the dark. I also checked out this GoPro IR Lens, but again those demos are shot in the day with a lot of lighting. Anyone have ideas on a good camera?

Every camera picks up ir light. Just illuminate the scene with ir lights.

yeah, you could get any IR camera and then get one or a few of these. I got one of these and pointed it at my warehouse ceiling and because the ceiling is white, it illuminated the entire 3000sf warehouse.

So I can get away with a GoPro Hero 3 and an IR light love above to illuminate the scene to get the shot that I want? Just how much light does the IR lights give off? I want the people to be completely blind to what is in front of them but still be able to put up a good, clean shot. If the IR lights light up the area it is shooting then it is going to defeat the purpose of my videos.

People can't see ir light, so don't worry, you can light the scene up as much as you like.

IR light looks like this when on. And it doesn't illuminate anything to the human eye. Just looks like red dots on the light panel. But to an IR camera, it'll be like day light. (if you're in a small room)

Awesome didn't know that. So there is no special lens that I need to buy for the GoPro? Literally all cameras pick up IR light so there is no need to buy a lens to pick it up any better?

Don't know about that. As far as i know you need a camera that can pick up IR.

Looks like you need an additional lens.

When I was living on 3 acres, the only way to light up some areas was an IR flood lamp.
