I have the HK stock amplifier as well. I got it from a friend of mine, but since my car doesn't have the wires for the amplifier, it is useless.
What we need is some help from someone showing us which wires we must use to connect an amplifier, sub etc...

below is the pic inside the trunk of my 3 series. 5 amps and 3 batteries. Do run these you need to bypass or get rid of the factory amp all together. Run RCA wires back from the head unit, then connect to the battery. Done!

Nice install but i don't want something like this..

There is no OEM (factory) amp in our cars..

We have the completely stock-simple system with 2 speakers front with twitters and two speakers rear and i guess there is a built in HU amp.. No amp at the trunk, no harness..

So we want to know where to connect the amp, which wires to cut and what type of wires should we use..

Hi, I will attempt to do something similar, but I will try the preout DiY on our HU. Check my post (speaker level output) for some tips and explanations. http://forum.E46Fanatics.com/showthr...2#post12518932

As for wiring, you just tap into the connector and route to the rear. Now how to route to the rear will be the fun part! When I get to that part, i'l share my experiences.

i just bought 2 sets of soundstream RF-60C component speakers to replace the front and rear HK speakers that came with my car. they are 6.5" wide and have a mounting depth of 2.6". i was wondering how your 6.5" rainbows fit in the door, can you reuse the oem speaker grills??

i also bought a soundstream tarantula T5-12 900W RMS sub, soundstream tarantula TX1.2000D 2000rms monoblock amp to power it, a soundstream picasso PX4.760 4 channel 760rms amp to power the speakers and a soundstream INT.2BX eqaliser to tune all the gear whilst keeping the factory 16:9 widescreen HU installed.

Euro spec cars have differences with the US spec.. Mine also is non HK..
As you can see no adaptor ring is required for the front.. I reused the factory screws.. And i didn't remove the OEM adapter..
I think that is required at the rears.. I will fit the rears one of these days..
The speakers are direct fit and are made for BMW E46 coupe to fit factory speaker places..

I removed the c pillars and the rear deck yesterday...

You have to remove the c pillars first..

You remove the light first with a flat head screwdriver and then you can see a torx screw..

They also have 2 clips.. You have to pull up and front (towards the front of the car) and with a bit of patience they come out.. Be careful cause it's very easy to break something..

Then you have to remove these clips.. You have to lie down into the trunk and push them from the down side to pop up a bit and then it's easy to remove them..

To remove the headrest you have to pop up abit the shelf and look underneath.. You must remove 2 metal clips at each headrest and then you take them out..

Then you remove the speaker grill with a small flat head screwdriver and by removing 3 8mm bolts at each speaker, disconect the plug and you get rid of these also..

Then you have to remove the speaker housing..

where can i buy a LOC?

Buy two two channel LOCs if you want "4 Channel" input, which I recommend. You then connect each pair (front and rear) speakers to the two LOCs. That will give you RCAs to run into your amplifier.

From where can I get a LOC,?
My 2nd question is that, I want to install an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer, I don't want to make any changings to stock stuff ( i dont wanna mess around with it).? thank You

You can get them from several sources. Crutchfield is just one of many examples.

Here is a good place to start;
http://www.google.com/search?q=line+...ient=firefox-a

Decide if you need 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 channels and get the appropriate LOC.
