I live by one quote about this subject

"ex's are ex's for a reason"

Granted im 21 and in college where girls are a dime a dozen, im to young to be going back to exs. I dont know your situation or age, but there is a reason you guys broke up.

what he said. People don't break up because the relationship is too good to stand.

On the other hand, maybe this is someone that you dated years and years ago, and situations/people/etc have changed.

yea. it sucks. i learned in the end that going back to my ex only made me feel worse about myself. because she let me down again. meaning it was my fault i let her back in my life in the first place, and that brought me down alot. i gave it time and disappeared from her a while and now i feel like my old self again. BE STRONG!!

Never go back...always!

The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see.

I did it with a few girls but I was young and dumb. Now that I have perspective on what a colossal waste of time it was, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Once you break up, you break up for good. I wish someone would have imparted that wisdom on me when I first started dating. Moot point for me now since I'm married.

I'll be able to share that with my kids I suppose, lol.

There's a saying that once a glass/mirror cracks, it most likely won't ever be repairable. So, either you get rid of it and get a new one or you accept it with that crack and do so with the knowledge that once there's a small crack in the glass it's most likely it's going to continue to crack.

With that being said, if you really miss her and want her and want to work things out, go ahead and try to get back with her, but if you do...be prepared for the consequences if things don't work out.

Not every situation is the same so, you need to weigh it all out for yourself. I had a few ex bf's that I went back to that I really regret doing so, but I also married one of my ex's as well. When first dated, I was young and it just wasn't the right time, but fast forward 10+ years later and we ended up getting married.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes its better to leave them broken than to hurt yourself trying to put it back together

Who you thought the is, who she thinks she is and who she really is are 3 different things.

Don't go back, you'll be looking the person in your memory, not the person in front of you, and you'll break up again.

Nope! Its just a excuse that she makes up..cause she doesnt want to hurt your filling by telling you straight up that she wants to be apart
