Question 02 bmw 325ci problems..

So this is my first post and I have a 2002 325ci which I have 2 problems with.

1. My car will not heat up if I turn it on and leave it alone for a little bit but instead i have to drive around for the air to come out hot. While driving around and as it starts to get hot, the coolant lights comes on and stays on but will turn off when I shut the heat. What could I look at too see why I have to drive around for the air to come out hot instead of just at idle. (coolant levels are fine)

2. My radio works when Im at a stop but when I start to drive it statics up alittle bit, which started happening suddenly, possibile solutions?

1> It could be the " heating valve " ( open to flow coolant to heating core ) may stuck. Other may be the thermostat fail ( it alway open).
Test by run the engine ( not drive) until it warm ( 10 min, NOT HOT, the temp. gauge on cluster just UP1/3, not comes to 12 O'clock )then put heat on high position, check the hose come to the heating core ( under hood, below the wiper ) see if it warm. If not, either the valve stuck or " control electrical does not send to it".
Check the upper hose comes from thermostat to radiator, if it warm, the thermostat fail/always open.
2. Radio makes static noise, if when AM ( not when FM) when cool climate because the rear window defrost auto ON if temp. at 3 oC or lower.
Car use defroster wire for AM antenna.

Just my experiences.

1) Sorry to say, you probably have a blown headgasket. My 01' Civic would only blow out hot air while driving, and overheated at stops. From COLD, remove the radiator cap on your car, start it, and let it heat up. Add coolant to maintain the maximum level in the radiator "bleeding" any air bubbles out and topping off as necessary.

^Doing that let me drive my Honda a few days before the problem came back. I replaced the headgasket and the problem is gone.

2) Check your grounds

This is just a thought on your radio problem: It may have something to do with the "speed volume" function. Try turning this feature off by press and hold the function key untill you see "speed vol" on the display and see if the prolem still persist.
