Need new tires, can i replace just the rears?

Hey guys, so i had a blowout sunday, running on my spare tire now. The passenger rear tire is also worn.
The fronts still have some life in them. But would need to be replaced sometime in next year.
I can only really afford 2 new tires, I have a buddy at America's Tire working on getting me a deal.
Current tires are Riken Raptors. I hate them. they were on the car when i bought it.
Looking at the similar tread style, but In a Falken Tire. so far my buddy has them at $95 each but knows he can get some more off when i go in.

Would it be worth it to get all the same tire on the awd system, I've heard rumors of transmission problems from different tires and grip.
or can i run two Falkens in the rear for now, until i can afford new fronts.

I need to get new tires regardless. Snow is here, and im running the spare (some ancient goodyear)

let me know what you guys think, thanks

Just replace them all. You won't see so much of a transmission issue as a grip issue. There's a reason as to why they recommend having the same tires on all 4 wheels.

My friend's used accord came with new riken raptors and one blew almost immediately.

If you are really hurting for cash- I would cautiously consider buying a used set of tires. Normally I wouldn't recommend it, but I know I have personally sold a few nice sets of tires for about $200, so deals are out there. I'd probably trust a used michelin more than a new cheapo tire myself.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have a good buddy who works at americas tire company in Folsom, Ca.
Hooked me up with 4, Falken FK 452 for $450 out the door.
Good Tire. Awesome grip so far.
I'll let you know how they wear over time.

Anyone else had experience with Falken directionals?
