Hey guys, sorry I haven't been updating this. I've been really busy the past week as my dad has been admitted to the hospital for the 12th or 13th (can't even keep track anymore) time in 2 years. I should have an update this evening after I hit legs.

1/3/11 Back
Small update, as I'm super busy. Dad is finally out of the hospital so all is good for him thank God. I've been working out with a buddy of mine, and made great progress on deadlifts. I think I've just had a mental barrier/intimidation of looking at 3 plates on the bar, but I'm finally over it which is good.
Deadlift: 135lbs 1x10, 225lbs 1x5, 315lbs 1x5, 365lbs 1x3

Felt pretty good today. Seeing some progress with my deadlifts which is great. I have to say it is definitely one of my favorite lifts now.
Exercises: Deadlift: 135lbs 1x10, 225lbs 1x5, 315lbs 1x10, 365lbs 1x5 Lat pull downs: Just focused on form 170lbs 3x10 Dumbell rows: 60lbs 1x10, 75lbs 1x10, 100lbs 1x8 Seated wide grip row: 120lbs 1x10, 170lbs 1x10, 200lbs 1x8 Reverse Grip bent over row: 135lbs 3x10 Isolation Lat pull: (twisting pulling down, and pausing at bottom) 70lbs 1x10 Then I finished off with an assortment of ab workouts all utilizing body weight. Meals: Breakfast: 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with wheat bread and colby jack cheese. Lunch: Pasta with butter and parmigiana cheese, and turkey sausage. Dinner: Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, and creamed corn.

1/18/11 Chest
Tried something different with my bench today. I'm trying to get used to handling bigger weight. I've had good results with this routine in the past so, I'll if it works again. Didn't have much time, but definetly felt like I had a good workout.
Exercises: Bench: 135lbs 1x10; 275lbs 5x2; 225lbs 1x8 Incline dumbell press: 60lbs 2x10; 90lbs 1x3 (just to see if I could still do it) Wide grip machine press: 90lbs 1x10; 180lbs 1x10; 270lbs 1x8; 360lbs 1x6 Meals: Breakfast: Sesame Bagel with cream cheese Lunch: Taco Bell, 4 crunchy tacos and a cheesy fiesta potato Dinner: Meatball subs with french bread and ground turkey breast.

Had a good leg day, worked out with one of my buddies and he really pushed me. Only downside, I didn't have time for calves.
Exercises: Squats: 45lbs 1x10; 135lbs 1x10; 315lbs 1x5; 345lbs 2x5; 355lbs 1x5 Squat Machine (ass to the ground): 135lbs 1x10; 225lbs 1x10 1x8 1x5 Leg Curls: 120lbs 5x5 One Legged Extensions: 80lbs 3x7

Thanks! And I know haha. It se ems like every leg workout I do my quads end up dominating. When I do the squat machine I put my feet do my toes are hanging off the platform so that my hamstrings take all the load. Just for the record I can do a higher weight on the leg curls, but knees don't like it to much. I'm not hyper extending either. They make lots of unpleasent noises and cause me a little discomfort.

I'm not really found of stiff leg dead lifts. From what I've been told it is terrible for your lower back. I'm taking a break from dead lifts this week, so I'll probably do some good mornings or back extensions as a replacement. I don't know how much better those are for the lower back, but my chins really need a break lol.

I'm bumping this old thread because this logging thing really helped me out. I've since switched to a 5 day split, and have been feeling pretty good. I also have a big boost of motivation after last night. Ronnie Coleman came in to my gym to workout. This guy is HUGE. I think he said he is ~320lbs right now, crazy. He's was pretty nice guy, and very down to Earth.

From what I was told one of the guys at my gym used to live across the street from him and convinced him to drop by. I wish he trained at my gym haha.

9/5/11 Chest
Short Workout today. My gym closed early than expected so I didn't get much down.
Workout: -Push ups: 1x30 -Bench Press: 45lbs 1x10, 95lbs 1x10, 135lbs 1x10, 185lbs 1x10, 225lbs 1x5, 275lbs 1x4 1x3. Then I had to leave. Oh well, my triceps were still pretty sore from arm day Friday so probably not a bad thing that I didn't get a full workout.
