LED tails question... depo vs eagle eye

i've been out of the loop for a while regarding whats new and whats hot out there...

to my understanding, eagle eye LED tails arent that great because the LEDs burn out and they cause the "bulb out" indicator in the dash unless you buy resistors. the new depo model has the resistor built-in and so far has been more reliable regarding LED bulb burn outs.... is this correct?

if so, how do i know i'm buying depo model vs the eagle eye model?

I got mine from Jlevis. Pretty sure there EE. There great no bulb out warning light. No burnt out LED's had them for like 8 months now. I had to pay like 275 because of the vert fitment

you maybe lucky as above or, unlucky like me. just had my second set of ee's replaced in 4weeks of fitting. two rows of leds failed in less than two weeks in the o/s light.
the replacements seem a little better in that, they only have three small resistors built in to the boot light covers. instead of the older type cluster of resistors and transformer. apparently these are a newer version.
so far so good, fingers crossed.

yes you have the old version and, they are installed. i had no idea there was a newer version untill, i got the replacements. basically there are only three small orange coloured resistors that are mounted in the boot light cover hth.
i wouldn't worry to much you maybe lucky and have a good set as others have.

hi mate,
i got them from this seller.
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Creative-Sc...=p4634.c0.m322

it would be advisable to make sure they are the newer version, if you decide to buy.
