I'm very disappointed
Ya know, I've got to say I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED.
So, this morning I price out the CCV and hoses (cold weather) at BMWPartsSource.com They have the E46fanatics "special" at $147.00 for the kit PKE46M54CCVKIT. Sounds like a deal right? So I email to find out what's included in their kit and get this back: "The breather valve and all 5 hoses" 11-61-7-533-400 PRESSURE REGULATOR $ 50.80 11-61-7-533-398 VENT PIPE ................ $ 21.62 11-61-7-533-399 CONNECTING LINE ..... $ 26.12 11-15-7-532-629 VENT HOSE ............... $ 10.71 11-72-7-545-323 VACUUM HOSE BLACK . $10.83 11-61-7-504-536 RETURN PIPE ............. $ 22.05 Well that adds up to $142.13 so we E46fanatics are being charged around five buck MORE. Furthermore BMW has a CCV repair kit (part number 11-61-7-534-237) that includes the "breather valve" and two of the hoses (Kit includes parts 11-61-7-533-400, 11-61-7-533-398, 11-61-7-533-399) and BMWPartsSource.com was selling the Kit for $88.79 meaning that if you use the BMW kit part number instead and buy the other hoses separately it's $132.38 which is $14.62 LESS than our E46fanatic "special price". So I send an email, saying hey what's up, and does the BMW kit for $88.79 actually have the valve and the two hoses I think it does? So instead of sending back a nice email (or any email for that matter) THEY RAISE THE PRICE OF THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS to $150.70 What a bunch of crap. That's how you treat customers? But they still didn't change the price of the BMW CCV repair kit - it's still $88.79 (as of this post). So even with increasing the price of the individual parts, using the repair kit bundle totals out to $137.00. We still pay $10 MORE for the E46fanatics "special" PKE46M54CCVKIT. Hey, $10, $15 that's not the point. But no reply? Raising the price when I point out an error and still pretending to be E46fanatic supporter? I don't need the knife in the back. (And Husker was nice enough to give me some tips on the repair, so is bmwmercedesparts.com a sponsor here?) I guess the moral is to double check everything. |

How come you have 5 hoses listed? There are only 4....
ccv to crank case ccv to dipstick ccv to intake manifold then the one across the manifold

You forgot Vacuum tubing, some cars need it some cars dont, either way its included in the package.
Other moral is that bmwpartssource has unfair practices and has been officially denounced. Last edited by joneperry; 12-28-2010 at 07:08 PM. |

But no worries right, his sig claims 10% over cost on all parts....so you should get a good deal then right? Absolutely, and to make sure you are getting the best deal possible, he will drop the price on a part by 18% while they last...so, he is "indeed" selling parts for 8% below cost. :tsk: |

Unfortunate that the getbmwparts guys have gone away :( I prefer them over Pat even if I am charged ridiculous tax and pickup fee on my orders from Tischer.

They're still a sponsor, but they don't reply on threads as much so they dont have as much coverage for business. It's like bmwpartssource is the only one here now because they are first to jump into a thread about parts.
But getbmwparts.com ftw. Last edited by joneperry; 12-28-2010 at 07:26 PM. |

Jeez, don't even get me started on bmwpartsuckdot.com...
I ordered a bunch of items from Patrick (let's just say well over a grand within a month with plans for a bunch more) and got fed up with his 'I'll match Tisher's price', only for him not to, then 'I'll credit the shipping on your credit card', for him not to, to at times having a nearly threating tone to his emails: 'okay I'll do it but then we'll go out of business and the great deals are gone forever!' Enough already. Sorry I finally voted with my wallet and am now a loyal Tisher customer again. I've always gotten great customer service from them, and at the very least you get a proper BMW invoice. |

Yea, I haven't heard that many good things about him from a few trusted friends.

Not that I'm in the market, thought I'd give a price comparison to help the cause (and provide updated pricing). Everyone's margins are different

If you check www.bmwmercedesparts.com then it will be even less than $142.

** Prices do not reflect Shipping and Handling costs
(last line in the pic) I updated for realbmwparts.com. I have to go through the entire checkout to determine Shipping/Handling. I'm bored but not that bored ;) |

Oops, sorry.
Is $150 shipped a fair price for the OEM separator and the 4 hoses?
