Gas Mileage tips

Wife and I got our first Xi last month. From the start I knew gas mileage was not going to be stellar. What things are you guys/girls doing to increase your MPG. I would like to do a third pedal install but its more her car than mine. Car is completely stock if anyone cares.

Should have bought a Prius.
Recently coming from a 4Runner, the MPG's for me are awesome.

Nitrogen Exchange in your tires. Us race track guys use only nitrogen in stead of air, due to the fact that nitrogen does not expand or contract with temperature change.
