Wiring question while fitting dynavin
Hi,
So ive read forums for a week and felt confident enough to fit my new Dynavin but have stumbled across a small problem. Ive got a monochrome gpm system, so ordered the loom that connects the dynvin to the rear connector. (Got dvd player with gps c in the rear). Slowely worked through all the instructions on this site (Thank you all so much) and then hit a snag, I cant work out what connectors im supposed to use. I have 2 large square connectors that seem to be part of the main loom, I have a white long connector that comes off the main loom. I then have a 3rd party (Im guessing) hands free kit linking it all. >< ![]() Heres a photo, its doing my head in. Heres what it looked like before i took it all apart. If you intend to use the Dynavin for your handsfree then unplug the nokia phone kit (large black box) and it's mute box (small black box). Plug a BMW 17 pin to ISO into the vehicle harness (available from eBay for £5). Sell the Dynavin trunk interface, it's not compatible with your vehicle.

Cheers, my whole install is going horribly wrong, the heater control doesn't fit into the relocation panel I bought.
17 pin to iso has been ordered, now to research manual heater control re-location, as it almost fit the relocation panel I bought i tried cutting it , but its still sticking out a bit, so thats £50 down the drain. The dynavin comes with a BMW adapter, will that plug into the left bmw 17pin connection or the right one (as pictured)? Thanks so much, for all the help. The one on the left.
Before stripping out completely, consider recoding your nav drive to colour, and selling on eBay. You'll need navcoder and a resler interface, available for £50 all in. I have both. 51167001410 Trim panel to fit Double Din Radio £63.07 Last edited by Arty; 01-02-2011 at 11:11 AM. |

![]() Cheers for the idea for recouping some moneyz ![]() So my question is, had anyone relocated the manual controls, and how ? If I buy the non climate control digital heater control, can i just swap it out? Cheers. Last edited by UKShark; 01-02-2011 at 06:00 PM. |
