Angry Is this for real?> did i just blow my amp???

i had my amp hooked up yesterday and it turned on and everything

today i switched artound my setup becuase i got a new HU. since it had worked the night before i didnt worry about the fuse order. I had the fuse in the amp in and the fuse in the power cable out. I then turned on the car, and the amp illuminated [still not sure becuase the circuit was not complete??] then i plugged in the inline fuse and the amp turned off!!!

i checked both fuses with a multimeter and they are NOT blown

DID I HONESTLY JUST F**K up my amp??!

i thought the fuse in the amp would blow if anything bad happened! and yes both fuses are the appropriate fuses

EDIT: PS, i legitamently just bought this amp!

if the fuse wasn't in the power cable then the amp shouldn't have power. do you have a capacitor you're using? check all your wiring, sounds like something got fussed up.
