how does cpo work as far as the deductible goes?

so my car has a year of cpo left and i've never really had the car in under cpo before. i am going to bmw to get my state inspection this year and also have some other issues i need looked at: 1) low idle, 2) weird issues with battery, 3) problem with cd player. so i guess i will pay the price for the state inspection, and then the $50 deductible to have the other issues looked at?? or are they going to charge me to look at the cd player, since that is not covered under cpo? any advice much appreciated..

CPO is $50 deductible per visit. You need to tell them about all the problems, because they aren't going to scour your car for things wrong.

I don't know about the cd player. Will probably get charged.

Its a customer pays situation unless covered by cpo. You have to pay for a diagnosis which is 1 x the labor rate at dealer. Then after diagnosis they will call you and tell you whether its covered or not. If more diagnosing is needed say there is something wrong in the tranny and they need to pull it, you have to pay all that labor until they decide if its covered or not. They will obviously need your authorization to do something like that. And finally if it is covered all you pay is 50 bux and that covers the diagnosis parts and labor. If not covered you could have a hefty bill. You should look into what's covered before you go.
