For Sale - Complete HK sound system + kicker sub and amp

first of all i live in sydney

okay so i have no need for the harman kardon gear that comes with an 05 325ci. it includes front speakers/tweeters, rears speakers/tweeters, 2 x 6x9 subs that are loaded in the boot attached to the rear deck, and the HK amplifier.

it all works 100%. its getting taken out of my car on mon, tues, wed next week so if you want to hear it over the weekend, something can be arranged.

im also selling my sub and amp that i have installed. it sounds good. it is the kicker kickpack as seen >>>>> http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/car-s...p-combo/435920 . it all works perfect.

as for price, this is the harman kardon gear for sale on ebay http://shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?LH_Av...op=3&_sticky=1

the only kit for sale is for a vert and is AUS$457 + postage. im open to offers but would love something around $350

and the kicker stuff, which i purchased for $449 from strathfield car radios (receipt is somewhere, ill try find it and post in here) was put on ebay when i first got the car, but i decided to keep it. it sold for $245 + 20 postage (without wiring kit). im after just over $200 and am open to offers. my wiring kit (to connect amp to battery and HU) is sony and was $90 from strathfield car radios. if the price is high enough ill include that as well

ideally id like pick up and one person to take it all, but both items can be sold separately and items can be posted (buyer can find the cheapest for them, and arrange it).

HK kit will be sold all together and kicker gear together. will not split that up.

i await all comments and feedback.

Do you know if the HK speakers are plug and play for a non-HK set up in a sedan?

not completely sure but you may need to check the radio harness in the rear and make sure the pins are not the round type as the 2005 plugs a flat pins.

^ thanks. I have the round pins but even so, the speakers have connectors already in the doors etc so shouldn't they just connect straight in and work?

Might do some digging on the tech forums to see....

Cheers

the 6.5" speakers should just plug in AFAIK. They are almost the same as stock but I think paper coned 2 or 3Ohm instead of 4Ohm which is stock.

i dont know this for sure, but doesn't the radio harness have to do with the HU, which is not part of the sale, so flat pin, round pin, whatever is irrelevant?? as stated, all speakers/subs/amps part of the HK system are part of the package, and then my aftermarket sub and amp are also for sale.

Yes, but the speakers are different impedance.

This means you will need the HK amplifier with the speakers. I don't know much about the HK system, but there needs to be a connection between the Amp and the HU somehow...

regarding impedance, HK amp IS included along with the speakers. with respect to the connection between it and the HU, it is plugged straight into my TV screen HU. when its un-installed, i can take a pic of what sort of connection it is (hopefully)

Yes, and my point is that there must be some harness between the amplifier and the source (head unit), correct?

well yea, but thats not an issue. no matter what sort of connection i or you have, there would be an adaptor which nullifies the problem. this is assuming they are different, when in fact they may be the same.

It's not about what I've got - I was simply saying that they may not be plug and play:

I am saying that you should not just "plug and play" the HK speakers with Non-HK amp, and visa versa. The impedance does not match the amp specs and you are likely to cause problems.
