We need to meet up sometime and have a NKY meet n greet. When I used to run a local off road club, we would meet at Filmore's in Florence once a month (or so) just to hang out and talk. His lot is plenty big enough and we could get some nice photos if we had enough rides. Would anyone be interested in this? I could get it together.

We have one in Louisville at the moment. But Florence sounds nice.

I was just thinking a small meet n greet kinda thing for the NKY people who cant get down to the 'Ville for the other meet. I would love to go down there, but it just doesnt work out. With my 4x4 club we would have 3 meeting locations (G-Town, Florence, Frankfort) and would rotate every month, so there was always a different location, but we also have 30 members showing up each time usually.

Florence was just an idea.

Just got a letter in the mail today from my semi local dealer offering me a FREE full inspection of my car on a certain date. That date was yesterday. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

I hate that.

So who's car here is actually running at 100% with NO issues at all?

I feel like as soon as I get caught up, something else starts to go.

I respectfully refuse to answer on the grounds that it may tend to jinx me....
But I do have some PM that needs to be done....

My car needs to be melted into jelly.

(I feel that way somedays)

Anyways this weekend:

Steering rack swap
CDV delete
Steering coupler replacement IF it needs it.

I'm heading to Vegas next weekend, afterwards, assuming I have another job (I am getting laid off in a couple of months so I'm looking), I plan to buy my first legit performance mod.

Thumbs Up

Been working on my steering rack. Here is my progress thus far:

Coupler I took off (connects steering column to steering rack)

Old Steering Rack - I need to undo the outer tie rods

New Steering Rack - Re-manufactured piece from DETROIT (believe that??)

So I looked closer and:

From what I have read, the ZF rack is supposed to be vastly superior to the 2001 OEM piece that was in the car. In 2001 they introduced "featherlite" steering in the E46 and it was changed in the 2002+ cars from what I have read. If I'm incorrect please let me know on that last sentence.

I'll let you guys know how it feels when I get it all back together and aligned.

What is the part # on that coupler ganicki? I have 32301094703 and it seems the 99 steering rack requires 32306752957 or can the 4703 part # fit?

Bench pressed the new rack in there. I got the hoses hooked up and all I need to do is just get the right coupler and I'm pretty much done.

Look at this, nice and nasty

New ZF Rack in the car

FVCK YEAH. Are you 100% sure it is a 2957?

I'll take it if it is. When/Where do you want to meet up?
