Yeah. All I've ever used them for is alignment and balance. They are the only ones that have been able to make the car roll smooth and true with the suspension and wheel upgrades. That's the only thing I let them do. I've heard bad things also but that's more on engine and fabrication stuff
I'll take my car to autobahn or one of the other independents in the area

interesting... It takes guts to go to a place you know has a bad reputation. I would be paranoid of every little pop and creak, thinking they sabatoged the whip to get more money out of me. Stein Automotive ftw.

Should be on Feb 27th. I'll be out of town this month

EDIT: Wait... why am I sad? I'm going to see Chi-town to see Markus Schulz and Ron White @ Horseshoe the night before

I also ordered the wrong windshield washer reservoir. I need the one that has holes for both the windshield pump and the headlight pump. If anyone needs one, let me know. 30. I also have 2 #2's in this pic: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...87&hg=61&fg=45

Sounds good, #2 is the correct part. When would be a good time to meet up with you? I'm free all day today and any time this week in the evenings.

I just bleed my brakes this weekend... Top tip from John: If your car has over 100k. You really need to do this. I got a video chatting about this I need to upload, but the new versus old fluid is just shocking.

Hey Fanatics,
I am in 40222, been an e46 owner since 2007. Currently trying to eliminate a coolant leak; pretty sure its the w/pump. Hoses are good, t stat repl'd in Nov, radiator and temp sensor good. Put some uv dye in the system and found. More dye around w/pump pulley than anywhere else. Pump works and car doesn't overheat-prob just the gasket but I'm gonna repl the pump, do a full coolant flush. Next order of business will be the drive line fluids and AT fluid and filter. On the horizon, front hubs and bearings.

Go ahead and replace the expansion tank. It is cheap to replace, and if you don't you'll be sorry. They develop hairline cracks pretty easily.

+1. Did you use the colored ATE fluid? Makes it super easy to tell when the old is all out.

You will laugh... Just used Prestone Synthetic DOT 4 from AZ. Brakes working just fine. I got a sticky caliper I need to resolve, but the pedal movement is slighty better. I can still stand on the brakes!!

Hey guys, I've learned that there is some work being done on a Ohio Valley BMW Forum. I'll be sure to post links when it goes live!
