Current Barcelona team, best ever?

Given the fact that they just won the World Cup..I can't remember a team that was so loaded and actually performed as they should (and I don't want to hear Real Madrid).....I thought the Ronaldinho teams were great but this current team is insane...

Real Madrid is decent, Ronaldo is a joke.

He's playing for himself. Not for his club, his country, or his teammates. Fvck him.

Greatest player on the Barca team - LIONEL MESSI!!!

I know...I thought he was a stud striker...but he's really becoming a great passer...David Villa should buy him dinner every night!

He's the most complete player... I hear Spaniards are really upset about him winning the Balon de Oro.

Yeah... they felt that it should of went to a Spanish player since they won the world cup. I think Messi is the best.

IMO Spain played the most booooring game of soccer I have ever seen in my life. In the World Cup, and the rest of their matches.

Argentina better step sh1t up in Brazil '14... losing 0-4 against Germany was a huge slap in the face. I was happy we came as far as we did... but we lost to Germany again, just like in '06.

Espana's passing and time of possession game is like watching Picasso paint...it's amazing and should be appreciated even more so if you play futbol. The skill to play as a team and know where everyone will always be on the pitch and get them the ball with short passes is insane!

Argentina and Brasil play that wide open game everyone loves to watch...but that strategy really gets exposed when you go further into the knock-out stages...as the world saw with Argentina last year and with Brasil in 2006.

Now the fukin Italians...that's a boring team...score....now pull back and play defense and never go past the half way mark.....until the other team ties it...then go ape-$hit and send everyone forward including Buffon!

Yeah, Barca is nuts. It drives me bonkers to see these great teams loaded with money, but as a Yanks fan, I understand it.

2 years ago, Liverpool would have ruled the world if we had decent owners and a little bit of cash...Villa and Silva were heading our way and combined with Torres, it would have been incredible. Those damn owners dragged us down to the depths we are in now and I'm hoping that NESV can pull us back out.

But props to Barca for building the team they have. I almost never watch them (if its out of the Premier League or Liverpool doesn't have a chance of playing them in Europe, it doesn't happen), but when I do catch a match, its beautiful to watch. Jealoussss

Spain won the world cup, not Barcelona. Best team ever? Not even close.
They are incredibly entertaining to watch, though

As they should. Messi should have not been in the top 3 for 2010. Still, no denying he is one of the best out there...

In the Champions League and in the World Cup he didn't play at his potential when it counted.

But it worked for them more than once, apparently.

Buddy when 90% of you National team comes from one club team then it's safe to say Barcelona won the world cup for Spain.

How are they not close? They might not in fact be the best ever but I have to admit that they are in the conversation somewhere.

Which historical teams do you have above them?

There have been some amazing Brazilian national teams, among other National and club squads...but Barca's current level of talent and form is the best team that I have seen.
