10" sub or 12" sub which one ??
Hey guys Im about to trade my 12w7 for a 10w7 even swap and both are in the pro wedge box. I ony push maybe 400-500 watts at best. Will there be a significant diffrence in sound. I really want the smaller box but not if Im going to regret it.
Has anyone here went from a 12" to a 10" any feedback will help thanks.

You probably can't tell the difference between the two with the same amount of power going to them. I used to have a JL 10w7 in a seal box with a JL slash 500/1 and it was pretty loud.

I have a 10w7 with one of those wicked cas boxes, and 500 watts.
I must be getting old, since I have that turned down way low.

I just got back from trading the subs. I can tell a diffrence with the lows but the 10" responds much better with mids and highs. It does have good bass though. I was surprised at how good the 10" matched up to the 12" with all the settings on the amp the same. With some songs you cant tell the diffrence. Im happy with the trade. I get almost the same sound with a much smaller box and thats what I was looking for. Thanks guys.

The 12w7 prowedge was nice but a 82lbs trunk hog. I was over that awhile ago anyway. Considering the size of the 10" prowedge it sounds great.
