Depo sidemarker fitment

I just got a set of clear Depo sidemarkers for my facelift sedan but when I went to put them in they don't even come close to fitting. It looks like the part that's supposed to hook on the opposite side of the metal spring doesn't come out far enough so it can't catch the fender hole like it should.

I'm just curious if anyone's had the same problem with these so I can tell if they're both defective or if it's just a poor design.

It's part of the design, you need to notch the plastic tab that hooks onto the fender deeper to hold into place.

Just get a razor blade and shave that section that doesn't fit. :p

i had to use my dremel to make that area a bit wider to snap into the fender. it is a poor product if you have to do stuff like that to make it fit. I also found alot of condensation getting into mine. i went back and bought OEM and the fit was so much better. Felt like my fender just sucked the lense back into place.

well that was money well spent

anyone have any experience with the Apexcone markers sold by DDM? I'll probably just get those instead if the fit's better, plus the darker smoked matches my corners better anyway
