I can't decide between these rims for my truck in all silver or in silver/black or in black... with plasti dip, looks like I'll just pick them up in silver and paint them black when I want to change it up (and protect them from salt in the winter)

I've been going back and forth between doing this with my stock M68's on my steel grey sedan. Currently have tinted tails, corners, windows, headlights. I think more of a gunmetal color would look better. Any opinions?

I think plasti-dipped matte black m68's will look great. I have a tiag coupe with gunmetal 19's that I am thinking about either plasti-dipping black or red. Still haven't decided...

My kidney grills are matte black as well. I may just do it next weekend and if I end up not liking it, it wont be a problem to remove. I've become quite a matte black fiend here lately so who knows, I may love them!

quote "give it as long as possible to cure" 1 week? before using water on it.

according to http://forums.evolutionm.net/09-rall...sti-dip-3.html

do not spray water directly at the rim its going to chip if its a pressure hose.
just get a gentle wet rage and lightly wipe it. or gentle spray it.

remember its reversible not permanent which means you can chip it much more easily.
but also easy to fix

So this is actsully legit? I feel like it would chip very easily. Im trying to get a matt black grill, but I'm debating between using plastidip or just buying a replacement black grill from khoalty. They go for 35 dollars so I think it's worth it to just grab that instead of messing with chipping paint and such.

Thoughts?

Do the plasti dip on the grill. That was my first mod when I bought the car over a year ago and it's still holding up as you can see in my sig. I only did two coats and it still looks perfect. And plasti dipped surfaces would actually be better against rock chips because it's a rubberized paint, so the rocks basically bounce off without making a scratch. I've even thought about taking off my black mouldings and giving them a couple of coats to bring back the deep black look
