What exactly would happen if I plasti dipped my wood grain trim and than painted it sliver ? Would it be reverseable ?

yea.100% reversible. Other have done it on their rims and spray paint other color over.

Sorry for all the post's haha but people might find this interesting, this guy said on one side he tried light coats and on the other he did one heavy coat and the heavy coat looks better. Just repeating what he said

Great idea but how does it hold up? I know some people plastidip their center cupholders and it peels off pretty easy...
