Wanted: Stock XI Suspension
interested in springs and shocks for the XI. not looking to spend on anything big. Bought the car for my mother but it was riding on koni's and HR's. Not comfortable for a woman in her 60's

If you don't buy Blau's, I have a set also. Not sure what it would be worth though, and I was thinking of keeping it in case I ever sell my e46. That is IF I ever sell it, since come this Feb. it will have been in my family for 7 years.

Just put stock springs on the koni's. That'll be close to stock comfort.

Double check how the KONIs are set. Dial them back to the comfort setting (all the way to the left). Rears can be dialed back but need to be removed.
HR's are notoriously stiff for xi's. Eibach Prokits are more comfortable - less rake, more coils, less stiff steel My setup is Koni sports dialed 20% firmer and I use Eibach ProKits springs. No complains yet from 60 year old passengers. Swapping to OEM you pretty well need to buy new since shock life is about 50,000 mi. So look at Pelican - but Sachs are over priced

my koni's are on the softest setting already and I know how stock springs on Koni's would feel and trust me when I say it is still to stiff for my mother's taste. This is coming from a woman who was spoiled with Lexus style suspension and clearly dislikes even the e46 coupe's stock sport suspension
