hydro-dipping is the process of a semi-permanent design pattern transfer. A design style like Multicam or ATACS is printed onto a type of transfer film that is immersed in an aqueous solution, and the the gun is dipped into the film, transferring the camo or design pattern onto the surface of the gun (or other object dipped). Once the film dries, it's semi-permanent.

Chase go shoot your new rifle a bit before you worry about modifying it.

Definitely will...

Then I'm going to mod it by hydro dipping it in a carbon fiber weave call of duty style

You can buy a DIY kit and do it at home for ~$60 plus a big tub.

Anyone aware of any information of a proposed ammunition import ban? 99% of my ammo is made in USA, but I realized my Independence 5.56 is actually "Made in Israel", and my Scorpion .22lr (cheap .22 ammo for the wife) is Made in Mexico (which would I assume be covered under NAFTA?)

My normal brands (American Eagle .223 for the AR, Winchester XP3 300wsm, Winchester XP3 Slugs, Hornady SST Slugs) are all Made in USA

Not yet.. thought was that I would buy one of those after learning on the iron sites.. also have a bunch of performance parts lying around for my 3 that I will install prior to spending more on the gun,... but seems like I can get an aimpoint micro for around 500 or so
