Alright. I won't be able to check until i'm back in FL, which won't be 'til after the 4th unfortunately.

Assuming you're right and I have a standard spring and an H buffer, what do you think I should do? My Tampa colleague thinks I should order some parts...do you concur?

The Seekins is so sweet. I love that lower. What version of the Spikes do you have that you are going to sell?

FYI guys - lots of sales at Primary Arms until July 4th. I just picked up more Pmags (20% off and free shipping) and the new version of the Gunfighter for $36.

Adam, I was looking at the lower; I'm going Noveske on my uppers I think. But thanks for the offer!

And $36 for the new gunfighter? That's pretty awesome; I might have to pick up another. Unless pmags are like 7 bucks though I'm not bothered...I have too many of the damn things.

I was out shooting the other day, and during the trigger reset two additional rounds popped off rapid fire, and the reset was very short and almost non-existant. It freaked me out a bit, and happened again a little later. I pulled out the entire FCG and compared the trigger and hammer to some spares when I got home. It looks as though part of the hammer chipped or broke off.

All of the parts on the right are from a Daniel Defense LPK. The trigger pull and reset feel much different with the new parts, but I've only had a chance to dry-fire until this coming weekend.

Have any of you seen this before?

The sear on the front of the trigger on the right looks pretty ugly. Most likely you were having sear slippage. I've seen it before on several triggers. It's uncommon, but not unheard of.

Any idea as to the cause? I'm waiting for DD to call me back today, I emailed them the same pictures on Tuesday.

They called back. Apparently there was a known issue with some of their lower parts kits. It happened a little over a year ago, which was when this one was purchased. They are going to replace the entire FCG.

That's excellent of them. I have seen that stuff on both cheaper LPKs, and on high round count parts. Having it on a DD fire control is a bit abnormal, but kudos to them for owning up to it and rectifying it immediately. It says a lot about them.

Jeff was great over the phone and email. He said that he knows of five cases of this happening, and they all had the same issue. I think only one was on customer's DD rifle and the rest were for LPKs. The hammer was dropping on reset.

Took out the SBR this weekend and everything functioned as it is supposed to. This was the first chance that I had to do anything other than sight it in, so I ran a bunch of VTAC and assorted other drills. I was very, very pleased! I started with the H2 and Blue Sprinco, and I don't see needing to change it at all.

Some take aways:

The Battlecomp spits out quite a fireball on the 11.5" barrel.

I let the range owner try it out, and stood directly behind him. The concussion was pretty intense so I moved to the next stall. It was interesting, because I've never shot next to or stood behind someone using a BC, but I've never felt any concussion while shooting it myself.

He let me use his suppressed 10.5" 300 blackout. It was sweet, with very little recoil.

Neither of my BCM uppers will lock the bolt back on the last round using Wolf ammo.

My 16" BCM upper with a H Buffer and White Sprinco spring has the softest recoil of any AR that I've shot, even using XM193.

Excellent. Wolf and other commie steel case require that you bring a standard power spring a normal carbine buffer under most circumstances in order to get it to perform correctly, since it is so underpowered.
Can't wait to see some pics. What you noticed about the BC is common. It's less of a problem if you are out in the open away from any structures. If you are under a roof or awning, or you have side walls, or both, you will feel the concussion a lot more.

Even with the standard spring and carbine buffer, it won't cycle. That's really okay with me though, since I mainly shoot XM193 or a variant, and the M&P will cycle it fine.
