Do want...but no expendable cash after that sig and the parts for the m16. Still not sure I don't want a Larue instead of this anyway...

Anyone know what the delivery time from ordering is on Noveske uppers at the moment? I emailed them today to try and find out, but haven't heard back yet. I ordered a 10.5 switchblock over 10 weeks ago from my dealer and have heard nothing whatsoever

Emailing Noveske is sketchy. Call them directly. You'll get prompt phone service.

Besides...there's a reason to call them.

I'm just going to go ahead and put this here...

I got my S R25 E C quote back from K A C. $3499. Not bad at all. Puts the SR25 back into the running.

I could have sworn the last time I saw an SR25 in a store, it was like $5500 or something. Different gun or generation or something?

Only reason I know is from researching the difference after reading reedos post and looking up different models on knights website. I don't know crap about them. But I'm slow at work right now so I try to read/learn about all the gun crap I can

SR-25 ECR P/N 30289 MSRP $5,618.75
SR-25 ECC P/N 30313 MSRP $5,743.75
SR-25 EC P/N 30365 MSRP $4,368.75
SR-25 ER P/N 30359 MSRP $4,125.00

-----

SR-15E3 IWS Mod1 Carbine (16" bbl) P/N 30351 MSRP $2,207.50
SR-15E3 SBR CQB 11.5" (KAC Marked) P/N 30022 MSRP $2,500.00
SR-15E3 SBR Carbine 14.5" Ball Millded (Dimpled) Barrel (KAC Marked) P/N 30354 MSRP $2,750.00
SR-15E3 Light Precision Rifle 18" Barrel (Collapsible stock) P/N 30280 MSRP $2,457.50

________________

The SR25 EC is $460 more than the OBR, but if I consider the cost of converting an OBR to a collapsible stock, it's more like a $250-300 difference or so. The OBR has the accuracy advantage, but all of the SR25 barrels are chrome-lined, which means that the barrels would likely have a longer barrel life than the OBR. I don't know if the OBR bores are chromed or not, but since they're stainless steel, I don't believe they are. I could be wrong. I'll have to call down there at some point and find out.

Since this is the "General AR Thread," I figured I'd mention that a local Walmart sells ARs now, one of which was a DPMS for under $500.

I have a feeling my girlfriend is going to be super pissed at me shortly...

Please don't buy a DPMS. Spend a little extra for the Colt 6920 that should be in the rack next to it.

I always thought DPMS was a reputable brand.

Dpms are about as well made as the fucking horrible window regulators bmw put in the e46

If you want budget take a look at m&p sport if you can't swing the colt. The colt will always hold it's value very well too.

+1000

Seriously, DPMS rifles are pretty awful. They're better than nothing, but just. The M&P Sport is q vastly superior rifle for similar cost. The 6920 is outstanding
