Is buying a lower and upper separately out of the question? Helps you avoid that excise tax too, I believe.

I was building on a budget, and paired a slightly cheaper lower with a bcm upper & bcg, which has been fantastic. It also kept me under budget at the time and allowed me to pick up a nicer red dot optic.

Haha no, not married. They don't stay out like that all the time anyway; I don't want people I don't know too well to think I'm a psycho if they come over

that was going to be my second question... are they somehow secured to the wall. I'd just be leery about leaving that much money laying around

Does anyone use a barrel vise? I need one, and need a recommendation for one. Gemtech calls for between 35lb and 45lb of torque on the muzzle device, and I'm not comfortable using that much torque on just an upper receiver block. Ideally, the vise should be as narrow as possible so I don't need to remove the handguards on all of the ARs. I'm lazy.

Not entirely sure I know what you mean. Do you mean one of those bench vices with the adapter in place that secures the entire upper receiver to the vice through the takedown holes? That's the only thing I've seen

I've done way more than 45ft-lbs on a receiver block. I think I've gone to 60 before.

Nope. Daniel Defense instructs you to use 50ft-lbs when attaching your barrel nut.
35ft-lbs really isn't that much either. If you use a torque wrench, you'll be really amazed at how little effort it takes to get there. All my muzzle devices are around 35ft-lbs and I have never had an issue or even seen a hint of barrel torquing or receiver flex.

Thinking about grabbing one of those do it all AR wrenches...do any of them have a torque reading on them? Like a torque wrench? Or are all of them "use your gut" style as far as attaching the castle nut and stuff?

Most will have a 1/2" cutout in them to allow the use of a torque wrench. Having a general wrench is nice for attaching barrel nuts, muzzle devices and tightening castle nuts. More and more companies are using proprietary barrel nuts though, but most will include the wrench with the handguard set. Daniel Defense makes you buy the LITE/RIS II wrench separately, but the wrench for their other stuff comes with. Kinda goofy.

I heard the same thing about DD not sending wrenches. I ordered my Lite 14 from another vendor and it came with a wrench. I have a DPMS multi wrench that I got from Brownells. It is decent at most things, but great at none. It can marr some parts no matter what because of sloppy fitment. They get the job done though.

DD is including them now? WHAT THE BUTT!?!?! I had to buy my AR15 LITE rail wrench for $10.

Best info I've heard is that it may be a BCM HSP/Haley Strategic rifle with a bunch of Geissele stuff like rail and trigger.

Possibly configured as follows:
Midlength BCM AR, with Geissele rail and ACT trigger, BCM Comp, CH, and Grip, Inforce WML, IWC Mounts, B5 Enhanced Sopmod Bravo all in Disruptive Grey Cerakote
