I got one today of the gen II and it has a little nick in the front of the magwell..I think reedo has a chainsaw and he couldn't find any problems. Here's my gen 2 chainsaw, the finish on it is awesome IMO looks very nice

Just buy a complete upper and put the lower together yourself w/ a lpk if you can find one. That's the route I'm taking for my first build.

buy it...if you can't find somebody to help you build it sell it online..you could put that lower up on arfcom right now and sell it for $200 in under 30minutes i would be.

I called my local FFL dealer and he mentioned that they have Stag lowers with a LPK (no stock) for the same price as the Noveske that you linked earlier. Which one would you go with?

I know Noveske is a superior brand, but I'm not sure if the Stag+LPK is a better deal.

BOOM, ordered that lower.... My AR build begins!!! ..... Hopefully I won't have to give it to the government soon...

Personally noveske. I think the noveske would have better resale value in the future too. Stag is known as a middle tier manufacturer imo noveske is at the high end...a lot of people say a lower is a lower, but if im paying the same price, it's a no brainer for me.

This girl that I've been seeing for a little bit here may be amazing. Here family had the local pawn and gun store, I asked if her dad still had his FFL license (crossing my fingers that may be able to save a lil bit) and she knew exactly what I was talking about...sadly the answer was no though

And btw, the Noveske lower is no longer available...that didn't last long

the colt 6920 is a great start. If you want to grab an extra lower engage has house branded lowers(they are a manufacturer)..they are a little more expensive about $185 since they don't produce thousands at a time but IMO they are super nice and are rollmarked maryland which I like. They still have some in stock you could grab one of those. The plus side about buying their lower is you don't have to pay a $50 transfer fee so they end up being cheaper actually.

Yes. I would trust the colt with my life out the box. There's only a handful of manufacturers like that IMO. (colt, BCM, noveske, larue, lmt, daniel defense). Shoot it a bunch and then you can decide from their whether you prefer a different rail, stock, grips, sling etc. But the colt is a hell of a great start and better then a lot of rifles out there. If you wait more then a day or 2 they wont have any left. A small shop my friend works at sold 50 ars on saturday and they are tiny.

dont feel bad. i called my ffl and told him i was going to be ordering a noveske lower and just needed to grab some info from him. by the time i went to order it, they were out.

Jesus that was a cheap price for the Noveske lower...and Adam, I still love the look of the one you posted a little earlier. So nice.

I would buy it from engage...you *might* save $50-100 buying it online IF you can find one online in stock anywhere..but then you have to pay shipping and a transfer fee. I think there $1200 price is pretty good. I would snag that one instead of trying to track one day which is probably about near impossible to do online. Every distributor is about out of stock on everything AR..every place I know that had AR lowers in stock this morning are all sold out everywhere.
