Chase I'm going into my FFL guy today to get them to fax over info for the lower I just purchased, I can see what they have in stock and see shipping and transfer costs from their store...know things are tough to find at the time.

Chase, I can probably score you one locally. In fact, I can give you a number to call a local shop to see if they'll ship one to your FFL. I paid $1229 + tax for the one I bought

Adam, I've been looking at Daniel Defense rifles... I wonder if Engage has any in stock. If not, perhaps order online? I would like to pull the trigger so to say on one of these but can't figure out which or what..

Main objective :

- short enough to be used as home defense if needed
- durable for rugged zombie apocalypse
- accurate but no need for super marksman accuracy
- reliable... I need it to last through abuse from a gun noob

I picked up a Stag lower with LPK and grip along with an adjustable stock for a decent price this morning. Got the last one in the store

I'll probably pick up an upper in the next month or two.

I'll post it here. Take a look at their inventory. Times like these I love living in the country, might roam around and see what I can pick up. Most individuals already have all the guns they need

Buy any Daniel defense or colt you can find in stock IMO. Both will be good to go. Engage I believe has stripped lowers for $185 you could buy one and finish it as parts become available

Looks like that will be the best approach for me at this point. Buy a stripped lower, and then build it as parts become available and I have funds lying around. Can I get one of those Noveske stripped lowers or are those all still gone? Also, what kind of registration do I have to do for the stripped lower? Have it shipped to Engage or directly to me?

I think I bought the last one yesterday, and ya they are still sold out... Also, you have to have it shipped to an FFL.

Crazy how fast those went, lol. Like you mentioned you must have swiped the last one right before I attempted (and failed) to purchase it. Oh well, it all worked out....still got a lower+some other stuff

I posted at 5:54 that I ordered it, and at 5:58 you posted they were sold out, glad it worked out for ya though let me know how the build goes, I'll be building right with you. I think first thing is to find a lower kit then stock, buffer tube, h buffer and spring--I think...

The lower I purchased has the LPK already installed, and I purchased a Stag tactical stock kit. I'll have to do some more research as to next steps. I'm intending on purchasing a complete upper receiver group in Feb/March.

I"m contemplating a SBR build if I grab a lower right now. Does the paperwork come only when you want to buy the upper? I would assume so, but haven't begun looking into this too closely.

That's been my impression from when I researched SBR's. Purchase item, file paperwork, wait a long time, get paperwork back, get item you paid for 12 months ago, lol.

By the way, Wal-Mart in Brentwood had a ton of ammunition in stock as of lunchtime yesterday, in case you were looking. I went to MidAmerica Arms this morning and the place was a mad house.....I was 5th in line at 9:55am (opened at 10am).

What are the prices on 6920s looking like? I'm thinking of listing mine now if those prices are contiguous accross the board...

EDIT: just found this: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=321787893

25 bids, already more than I paid for mine, and 4 days left!
Shiet is getting crazy man.

For shiets and giggles I wanted to see how much my LaRue was going for. Well its at $2,300 with 21 hours left. Lets just say I would be making close to a grand if it sold at that moment.
